Was excited after ATG announced their “biggest sale” yesterday, logged on this morning to find only 3 west end shows with awful excuses for discounts.
Anyone get anything good?

Differs by venue too - Manchester has multiple dates available, but Liverpool Empire, who are always quite tight with any offers, are only discounting on opening night. Tempted by Bonnie and Clyde in Manchester but the only reduced matinee is signed and I know I’d spend half the show looking at them rather than what’s going on.

Had a look for Liverpool and the stuff on offer I have already booked for and got better seats through dynamic pricing / single seat discounts.

Absolutely nothing available for Bristol Hippodrome this year, one of their largest theatres. They become more of a disgrace every year. Don’t pretend to offer a ‘sale’ then don’t. Shysters! The amount of ‘third-full’ shows there grows by the week, where producers blindly refuse to discount their tatty tours, thinking that they’re worth more than last time around.

It is my belief that the days of worthwhile sales are over, specifically producer-led unsubsidised (Kids Week, GILT etc) sales.
With dynamic pricing becoming industry standard both in the West End and regionally, they don’t really fit most theatres ticketing model.
The big drive in the last few years has been maximising spend-per-head, upselling packages, and maximising merchandising opportunities in house. ATG led this for a while but now sadly others are catching up (and how!).
TodayTix, TKTS and seat fillers will continue their trade with negotiated discounts year-round, but blanket sales from theatre companies themselves are very much a thing of the past.

ATG member here. I've had no emails about this at all. I guess that's typical of ATG marketing. Might need to drop membership@theambassadors.com an email, as I had that previosuly with not getting any of the ATG+ presales, but now seem to get them after emailing them. Along with the posted brochures. Did however have to specify which ATG venues to add me to, as I recieved multiple early access email for the sales at each of the venues on the 27th.
However it does seem that many of the discounts are pretty rubbish if you're already an ATG+ member, as they've matched the ATG+ discount of quite a few of the tickets i've looked at for anything at Oxford or Woking.

From what I’ve been able to work out reading posts on the ATG+ Facebook page the problem with not getting emails is to do with consent.
Apparently when people were signing up for membership they weren’t asked the necessary GDPR questions about receiving emails OR they were asked but their responses were not properly recorded. Which means that ATG don’t have permission to send you the promo mails.
To resolve this you have to contact them and specifically give permission.
I’ve done this and I now get the emails. It’s a massive eff-up on their part and the fact that unless you saw that particular FB post or read it here you wouldn’t know is a disgrace and a major fail.
This is a step forward because for the last few years they’ve been denying that there was even a problem.
