OK, so I know this isn’t to be the cup of tea that a lot of the more um, ‘traditional’ movie watchers on here will be watching and there is not a single show tune on the soundtrack for those of you of a Broadway bent (it’s just about all 90s hip hop that’s played), but after not being particularly impressed by the trailer or the previous TMNT films, I decided to see it this afternoon and I found it surprisingly good fun, good spirited and well voiced by the cast (the four turtles were voiced by unknowns but the likes of Jackie Chan, Paul Rudd and Ice Cube have fun with what they’re given)
Far preferred it to either of the Spider-Verse films which I just found severely overrated and joyless and thankfully when they edited it, they finished things up well short of the two hour mark: my main disappointment was a lack of cowabungas being said by anyone in the cast.

I watched it yesterday and it's a lot of fun. There's been so many versions of TMNT and this is the first time they've made them actual teenagers which works a treat because they get to be goofy but also relatable.
Have to say, this pushed the PG rating to the limit, it's fine for older kids but I'm not sure if anyone under 5 should go/

Seeing that everywhere I looked at didn’t have any screenings after 6 in the evening, I thought the cinema today would be packed with kids taken by their parents but there was probably only about ten other people at the screening I saw in Leicester Square earlier, there were a couple with two little children sitting in the front row, I could only hear not see them but they seemed as good as gold, laughing out loud at jokes that probably only Seth Rogen found funny but fair play to them.
