Mods - please merge if there is already a thread.
Went to see Peter Kay at the O2 last night as part of his 29 show residency which goes on until 2025.
He was on top form and it was pretty much the Peter that people know and love. He said he has been on a diet and its very noticeable especially his face. Some tried and tested material and a quite poignant piece about his nan who recently passed away. He did a couple of encores and, although no photos or videos allowed, he specifically asked people not to film the finale and spoil it for others. The O2 staff were very hot on stopping people. After seeing it I fully understand why he wants to keep it as a surprise as its spectacular.
The only seats I could get when I booked was the VIP package but it was worth it as it guaranteed best seats plus some VIP goodies including a set of Peter Kay placemats which are hilarious and typical Peter Kay. I will definately be using them.
Usual nightmare leaving the arena with huge queues to get to the tube station but good atmosphere so there was no trouble or people trying to push in.
Glad to have seen him and lovely to have a proper laugh.

Does anyone who has seen this at the O2 remember roughly what time it started and ended please?
(Given the tens of thousands who have already seen it, you'd think that information would be out there, but I can't find anything.)

So finished about 11pm. However on the night I went there was a bit of a medical emergency before the encore which added about 10-15 mins.
