I love Mark Strong, he's a sexy man but I am stubbornly waiting for more £15 tickets to appear...

I'm waiting for the next booking period for The Red Barn. I am NOT booking a Robert Icke show before there's a running time, I've fallen for that one before! Why's that then? I've booked already. How many bags of jelly babies will I need?

Is Amadeus likely to extend into the new year?
Kind of fancy it, but it seems like there's limited availability for a lot of performances and the schedule seems to be very dispersed (I realise it's because it is in rep with Peter Pan, or whatever else will go into the Olivier) with only 2 Saturday matinees - one of which is already sold out!

I don't see any further performances beyond the previously announced 19th November, where are you looking?

They were there soon after neilmbrown posted, but now they aren't! I guess the NT was entering them earlier and has now hidden them until the glorious moment of official announcement?

Can't see nothing past Nov 19 either. I wish they announced the rest of the casting for Amadeus too...

Ooh, well spotted then! Are you able to advise when it looks like it's extending to? Only I've not booked yet, and the rest of my year is getting awfully full. (Hopefully the announcement and subsequent sale is imminent!)

Yep currently hidden. If you look in the source code they are still there. Tuesday 17 January 2017 is the latest date I can see. Ticket links are there as well, but site says currently down for maintenance.

If you go to any available date now and click Change Date you can see all the remaining dates. Last one in Nov being 28 and first one in Dec being Dec 15 means Hedda Gabler starts somewhere in between? Not long a wait till it's official, I hope... I miss the times when full seasons were announced early so plenty of time to plan a trip...

As has been posted previously, there is a new booking period opening September taking things to January. This will include Hedda. The next booking will be in Jan which will include Twelfth Night and Angels in America and take things to approx May.😉

Ridiculously short notice for the supposed major theatre in London. Alas Lynette it has always been thus at the National! Hytner tried to change things early in his reign but things soon slipped back.😕

Okay first up: LOVE In the run up to Christmas, three families are placed into cramped temporary accommodation.
A middle-aged man and his elderly mum, a young family with a baby on the way, a newly arrived woman from Sudan. Strangers. Forced together. No space is personal.
In this new play by Alexander Zeldin, written through a devising process, the audience are invited to bear witness to an intimate story of family love for our times.
Alexander Zeldin’s previous work includes the critically acclaimed, ‘raw’ (Financial Times) and ‘unforgettable’ (The Times) Beyond Caring. LOVE continues this unique approach to theatre.

Ruth Wilson in Hedda and some other casting news. Ooh fun. I must admit that I wasn't all that bothered about Lucien Msamati but I am intrigued by Adam Gillen as WAM. Loved him in 'Benidorm'.

Nothing new of interest in today's announcement, but I didn't know until a few minutes ago that Rufus Norris was directing a new Lucy Kirkwood play (she of Chimerica fame), Mosquitoes, next summer. That could be good.

Every one of the new Amadeus dates in January is Monday to Thursday. Why does this show have such an aversion to weekends? Not great news for anyone who works outside London and can only get down on a Saturday.
