Yeah - spoiler thread would be useful, at the very least until press night (after which it'll be much harder for anyone to keep unaware as the script will be out there). Personally, I'm seeing it mid-July. I think a spoiler thread would be good but I wonder if the producers might ask to not having any spoilers until press night which might put any thread in jeopardy.

Yeah.. good luck to them if they try stopping anyone talking about the play after the first public preview.

The play that people will see at the first preview might not resemble the same play when it comes to press night although I'm sure unless it's a real disaster, most changes will be minor.

You may turn out to be right, but this selfish attitude has decided me to now avoid this forum for a few months. Selfish attitude? I'm just being realistic - people will want to talk, this is a discussion board. I can't imagine the producers will seriously expect people to not discuss the play.

Obviously people will talk about the play, but I think what people are talking about is an agreement here to have a separate thread with spoilers and keep this one for general chat- tickets etc.
I think that's a good idea-I won't see it until next year, and while I'm not spoiler-phobic I don't want to know everything. Meanwhile if I'd seen it I'd want to talk about ALL of the details.
So another vote for a spoiler thread, so people can avoid spoilers in our little community here!

Another vote for a spoiler thread, not that I have tickets. Didn't manage to get in the general sale and will have to keep trying my luck with Friday Forty, but I still want it to be a surprise.

They've put some further tickets on-sale. I've just bought two £10 tickets in the Stalls for the first previews tomorrow and on Thursday.
Gah! I'm excited!

I'd also like to add that I didn't have to pay a booking fee or a restoration levy. ATG could learn a thing or two from Nimax….

Spotted this earlier. Sadly everything offered to me was in the Balcony which I've vowed never to sit in again after the extreme lack of legroom experienced when I saw Priscilla.

Anyone have much experience of the Grand Circle? I'm sat in row A not far off the end of the row. It's down as restricted view but hopefully won't be too bad

If anyone wants restricted view stalls, there are a few knocking about for (I think) 28 and 29 June. They keep disappearing and reappearing on the booking website.
Likewise, there are a few random balcony seats over the next few weeks.
I am holding out for less restricted seats so suspect I'll be on Friday Forty from now to eternity.

Decent seat booked for March next year but knew I would be able to resist reading the script for that long so managed to get a restricted view seat for early August through the wish list

I took the plunge. I was looking for a pair which made it harder. I'm booked in for the 28th/29th June. Row V right at the end of the row in the stalls. Hopefully the seats won't be that awful, worried about them but oh well! SOMEONE TELL ME I'VE MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE!!!

Where's TheatreMonkey when you need him?!.... I'd imagine they're probably fine for the most part but I'd guess it depends on how much stuff is going to happen high up on the stage*. That was the dilemma I had. I'd have probably taken them but my wife is much more of a Potter fan and a bigger seat snob than me, so I don't want to be in trouble if I pick the wrong seats. *The obvious thing that springs to mind is the possibility of some flying e.g. a Quidditch scene (to rival Aladdin's carpet!) N.B. This is wild speculation. I know absolutely nothing about what happens on that stage. On which note, add me to the list of people who favour a spoiler thread!!

The thing I've noted about what I've been able to see of the Cursed Child seating is that there appear to be new additional seats around the edges that aren't on TheatreMonkey's plan of the Palace. I expect restricted visibility for some of the edge seats, particularly where the pillars are involved (I seem to recall that Palace pillars are approximately the size of Californian redwoods?), but we're going to have to wait at least a few more days before feedback starts trickling in.
May I suggest that feedback that is basically "I sat here and it was fine" or "I sat here and there were a few scenes where that was a problem" don't count as spoilers as long as they refer to general visibility and not specifically what is on the stage? And therefore talking about your seat and your view isn't going to contravene anyone's polite requests to keep the secrets?

I will try to report back on stalls seating on Saturday. Theatremonkey also appears to have plans to update for the current production.

See, my seats warned me: 'The view from this seat may be partially restricted by the low overhang of the Circle.' (exact wording) I couldn't for the life of me remember where the pillars are in the stalls, and no plan I found online was helping that. I agree with your feedback comments too.

If you could just pop to Row V seat 26 and 27 and let me know the view, that'd be great. If there are people sitting there at the time just ask them to stand up as you'd like to conduct an experiment. Apologies for the double post. Bad form.
