Wow that opening was not good at all. I thought it was dreadful. As an avid musicals lover, I began to question whether I even liked them! Exactly the same, and Ivano was so awful I'd never pay to see him in anything. Will definitely avoid anything with him in.

She was probably the best of the night, although I didn't think she was as sharp as she needed to be at times.

Craig looking for any reason not to give anyone a 10. Molly having a lower elbow for one small part of her routine? Ridiculous decision to drop a vote. Same with Helen and Hamza, he just really wanted to find any reason.
Yet he gave Kym an 8 but didn’t give her any notes at all on what she did wrong. I thought she was terrible, actually. Lacked energy and confidence, looked like she was only giving it 70%.

Agree - elbow meant whole point down? Ridiculous. But the scoring is very high now and the dances are all very like ‘finals’ standard used to be.

Just caught up with tonight's episode. Now I'm a big fan of Cabaret, Fosse and Gorka so slightly biased but I thought Helens dance was one of the best in the series. Loved it.
Don't know if anyone noticed one of the extra dancers, black guy with blonde hair. He was also at Blackpool. His name is Austin Farrell and I follow him on Instagram. He is fabulous and did some great, camp and stagey videos during lockdown.

Having two Fosse influenced routines on the same show was one too many. It was supposed to be musicals night, not Kander and Ebb night! With one less day to rehearse, I swear the backing dancers did the same in both.
It's probably Kym's turn to leave.
I wonder if Rob Hastie had time to watch? Will's agent could be getting a call on Monday. If he met his wife in a musical, he must be able to sing.
If Helen goes through, which she should, she'll somehow have to combine dancing with farming next week.

Well the opening dance for the results show, Guys and Dolls themed, was a vast improvement on the one for the main show!

I've seen am-dram productions of Guys'n'Dolls with more inspired choreography than tonight's offering. And none of the Cher-a-likes look or sound anything like her,at least the Broadway version tried. Still, musicals week had no hideous edits that ruined the songs, so that's a first, and Hamza's was the only song I would've dumped for something more suitable for a samba.

For those who watch It Takes Two, once you realise that Janette laughs like Bart Simpson you’ll never un-hear it.

Dances for this week
Fleur & Vito: Charleston to Tu Vuo' Fa L'Americano by Fiorello and Paso Doble to The Time Is Now by Moloko
Helen & Gorka: Argentine Tango to Here Comes The Rain Again by Eurythmics and Waltz to Only One Road by Céline Dion
Molly & Carlos: Paso Doble to Survivor by 2WEI ft Edda Hayes and American Smooth to Easy On Me by Adele
Hamza & Jowita: Charleston to Pencil Full Of Lead by Paolo Nutini and Waltz to What The World Needs Now by Burt Bacharach
Will & Nancy: Couple's Choice to Know How / Fools Gold / Step On Young MC / The Stone Roses / Happy Mondays and Paso Doble to Uccen – DWTS Remix by Taalbi Brothers, DWTS
3 Pasos is an unbalanced outcome. Someone messed up planning there.

I was thinking that - too many pasos. Think Helen & Gorka has a strong pair of dances/music.

I only really like AT when it is danced to authentic music. It always feels forced if done to a pop song.

There hasn't been a really memorable Paso this year, so maybe we'll get one this week.

Did we have just one or two Viennese waltzes? Too many pesos but Molly’s was good this week. I dont get Will. Voted 3x for Hamza

Molly got absolutely robbed of a 40.
2 waltz, hamza and Helen.
I thought wills couple choice was poor, no way it deserved those marks.

It was not a great semi final
The AS and Waltzes were dull
The AT lacked any connection or sensuality
I didn't like any of the Pasos. Molly didn't have anywhere near enough Spanish feel. Fleur was hampered by poor music. Will was too angular.
The comments and scores were too positive.
It was a drawn out, dull show

Enough already with all the fake crying!
And why does Motsi have her notes written on her arms when she has a pen and pad in front of her?

A weak result, it falls under the same category as Louis Smith and Bill Bailey for me. The other 3 couples were consistently stronger throughout.

I knew Molly wouldn’t win and that it would (ultimately) come down to Hamza and Fluer- I was hoping for Hamza.
Well done! I’m my eyes, the best pair won.

No losers on the night. All the finalists have raised their profiles professionally, Hamza's now a household name and will get loads of work, Helen's found her confidence again and Molly and Fleur will use the dance experience gained here to great effect in future. Fleur gave the best performance on the night, but the public had probably decided long before voting opened who their winner was.

Fleur gave the best performance on the night, but the public had probably decided long before voting opened who their winner was. Hamza already has lots of work lined up by the BBC and was advised (told) To go on the show to raise his profile in preparation for them. He seems a genuinely lovely guy, but I could never get past the fact he had sickle feet that turned in and as such should not have got to the final, in addition to the fact he plateaued about 4 weeks ago. But then it’s the public vote and it’s who they voted for so who am I to criticise? I did vote for Fleur as I felt her dances were the best and she grew as a dancer through out. Ah well here’s to next year
