The man crush is definitely alive and kicking. Last night was the best concert from him I've seen. The surprises were amazing, his vocals were out of this world...just an amazing night!
May have already booked to see Age of Madness in November.

This is the 4th time I have seen JJ, including Bonnie & Clyde, and this was, without doubt, his best concert. Big band, backing singers, great lighting and a couple of brilliant guest appearances.
I love the fact he doesn't just do the same stuff every time. Each time he comes to London its a totally different show.
Absolutely loved the segment at the beginning of the show where he sang songs from previous Drury Lane musicals. A chance to hear him sing in a totally different voice (quite beautiful).
He has such a stage presence and really interacts with the audience. He acts his songs rather than just sings them (if that makes sense).
The Age of Madness songs were not my thing and won't be going to see the band in November but it did give me a chance to have a bit of video footage and take some pics which we wouldn't normally be allowed to do.
Producers please release Bonnie & Clyde in concert which was recorded and someone please find a musical for him to do in London.

Had a great time watching Mr Jordan last night. A real eclectic mix and for me loved the section from Carry On. However concur that The Age of Madness stuff fell flat. But let him have his indulgences as he is enigmatic and knows how to work an audience. LOVED the second surprise and that for me was a special moment! Be interesting to see what the surprises are tonight.

The video of Why God Why? is pretty great. Lovely to hear his wide open MT voice rather than the pop/rock voice we’ve heard before. How long til he comes to London in a proper show?

We he did 'sing' the praises of London audiences and I think that even he couldn't quite believe that his shows had grown to point of selling out all four levels of the Theatre Royal in Drury Lane and having a much larger band with backing singers. He even admitted that if the right show came along he would consider it. And there in lies the crux- the right show. And he has a three year-old daughter so for however long he's contracted for, it's have to be worth his while, they'd need accommodation for three- not to mention his commitment to his new band and other contractual obligations he may- or not have. |

This exactly. The most recent example I can think of is Sutton Foster coming over for Anything Goes. That show became a very hot ticket last summer partly due to her involvement, and I’m sure it cost the producers a very pretty penny. Jeremy can (almost) sell out two nights at Drury Lane but is the awareness to the general public as much as it was with Sutton Foster. |

Slightly off topic, I do realise but I often wonder about well known foreign actors- usually American though, to be fair, they could be from anywhere- who come across here to perform in a show, and the thought of are they well known enough?
Using Sutton Foster as an example. She is well known on Broadway, as is her brother and Jeremy Jordan but they're hardly household names outside of that community, even in their own country- let alone overseas.

As much as I love JJ having seen all his London concerts and Bonnie and clyde I am not a fan of his new music. He played 1 or 2 numbers at his last concert and it wasn't my kind of music.
