Anybody like Elaine Page? No, most people can't stand her, I believe. 😆

Anyone know when press night might be for this this year? I always try and go that night just to see which D-list celebs made the audience It's on the 14th Dec evening.

Lol at the comment about the Palladium panto being known for story...I wouldn't say the story has ever been their main focus before.
Set looks a little Jack goes to space for my liking but will be interested to see it all come together

Louis Gant is still in Mary Poppins at the moment so I'm assuming Charlie Stemp will return as Bert in the coming weeks.

Good for Lois. Made in Sheffield...at the world-famous Crucible Theatre.

The London Palladium has the worst customer service I've encountered in some time. I wanted to change the date of some panto tickets. I've phoned up several times, each time going through the motions of clicking through, and just as you're about to be connected to a human it gets cut off. I send an email. A week goes by. No response. I tag them on social media. I get a DM asking me to send another email. I outline my situation as above and ask them to call me. I get a copy and paste reply asking me to call them on the same number that keeps cutting off.
They won't be getting any more business from me.

That’s disappointing to read. They were excellent when I had a problem with the last Panto and replied to the email within minutes. Has ALW been cutting back on staff or something?

Thats a shame. I have had quite a lot of contact with the LW Theatres access department and they have always been amazing both by e mail and over the phone. I've actually written several letter to them after a show as the service from the access trams at the theatres are the best in the business.

Amazing again this year. Returning from the matinee now the spectacle is back and some awesome roof raising surprises throughout. Finished at 17:15.

Please say they don’t do that terrible 11 o’clock number again where they 4/5 leads repeat everything endlessly
Have they really killed a load of prime centre stalls seats for a ‘surprise’ ?!

Of course they do. They know the audience wants the same as every year. Might do a bingo card * are we not having your next line? * teaching the title character how to do panto * Gary’s repetitive song (worth the price alone as it may be) * actions song where they nearly hit each other. I still loved it to pieces in general, but Dawn could do with a new script and Paul should replace at least one joke.

Have they really killed a load of prime centre stalls seats for a ‘surprise’ ?! From what you can see on Instagram, yes they have taken out some centre stalls seats. This production has already been announced for the Birmingham Hippodrome next year, so I wonder if they'll do the same and at any other venues it goes to after or will it just be for the Palladium?

I know this year's Palladium panto has only just got underway but I wonder what the 2023 Panto will be? My guess would be either Peter Pan or Aladdin

Yup, around 50 seats removed, I'm not sure how I didn't catch on to it until half way through the first act 😅 I would be shocked if the hippodrome did the same, maybe extending a corner of the stage instead or just having a smaller version on stage. It was interesting to see a sketch last years hippodrome panto make it's way into the Palladium this year, albeit it was my first visit so maybe it happens alot!

Prices for this are INSANE - how bad would the far end of the front rows be for those who have seen it? It's about all I can afford.

Legroom was tight and missed the far left of the stage but it cost half the price of nearby seats. I've booked A21 for Jack & the Beanstalk. I'm sure those end seats have only been added recently and won't stay around long @ £22.50 In previous years, and mainly after Christmas, there has been some dynamic pricing for single seats in the stalls going as low as £25

Just booked a second visit on a date we already had an evening show booked. You have unintentionally given a great tip off !!

Thanks, booked a restricted view seat. They definitely weren't up before. Hopefully far enough along the front row that I don't get volunteered to join in!

The front row side ticket for £22.50 was enough for me to pull the trigger on a return visit.

What are the changes of being picked on in these seats???! Well I saw it Saturday night. The lights come up and Julian actively seeks out audience members to “pick on”. Wasn’t necessarily front row. I’d say back as far as row G/H are Possibilities.
