Apologies if this has been asked before, but would those in the know recommend front row of Richmond or front row of Woodside? Definitely. I've sat twice in front row of Richmond and once front row of Woodside. Great close up view and also good chance of grabbing a paper.

Tonight a grown adult scrambled so enthusiastically to grab a paper that landed on me that they punched me in the shoulder... Then a child got up and ran down the stairs to pull a paper off the stage during Santa Fe, and the same kid CLIMBED on the stage at the interval to grab more. God bless the front of house staff at houses for the trials they deal with!

Why not just print a load extra so people can just help themselves rather than risk peoples safety?

Are these newspapers made of solid gold or something?! It’d be nice to have one, sure, but bloody hell.

They should sell them with the merch. Would make a killing Plus replica newsboy caps as suggested earlier! Incidentally there is another Fansies performance on 26 April, got email a couple of days back though website has yet to be updated. Sounds similar to the previous performances with posters, a Q&A and 10% off merch. It's midweek so might give this one a miss, but should help fill seats on a quieter night. Maybe some of the new cast will feature in the Q&A?

And if they’re that desirable I’m surprised they’re not available on the merch stand, free with any other paid for purchase!

They make for an interesting read as they are actually covered in unique text, not just Lorem ipsum. It's surprisingly dark stuff. But I wouldn't assault anyone for a page.

Which is good if you just want to enjoy the show! When sitting in the 'drop zones' I've felt some nervousness in anticipating unseemly scrambles, though the behaviour I've witnessed has been mostly civil.... Enjoy!

Nipped back yesterday evening to second row Woodside (as a day seat, almost the same one I had last week). The theatre seemed pretty full, with the same selection of front row seats left empty as usual (although many got filled by the interval or earlier).
The biggest news is that, 6 attempts in, I'm now the proud owner of half a page of newspaper which landed right in my hands. So thanks to the wonderful Zack (who was on as 2nd cover Tommy Boy). At least I think it was Zack, but I got a bit lost with all the talent on stage, so I'll also shout out to the equally talented Mukeni in case it was his paper, and it's always a joy to watch him flip around the stage.
So good to see a full stage again, which makes this show work so much better. A calm audience too. I'll have to go back, as I have to find out what happens in the bottom half of the paper!

Saw this last night on a cheap ticket in the Bronx basically because I wanted to see what all the hype was about. It was actually a great view, although side on to the stage it was so close to the action! And I really enjoyed it. The energy up there is phenomenal. The cult following was pretty evident with lots of whooping and shrieking but it didnt really detract from my enjoyment. The sound wasn't great, at times I struggled to hear the lyricsin the group numbers. One question- during the Act 1 finale, is Les supposed to do something on a rope? I watched them struggle to attach a safety catch he was wearing to the rope but they couldn't do it and he ended up running off stage.

Yes, the rope lifts him up into the air, he struggles a bit, then it lifts him back down (and I think he runs off then). Nothing too dangerous or essential, but it's a neat moment.

Going by the performances I've seen it doesn't happen about 25% of the time. Better safe than sorry! And as Dr Tom notes, not essential.

It was only obvious as I was sat nearby and could see them struggling with the safety catch. I did suspect it was nothing that contributed to the action.

I saw this on Sunday afternoon and enjoyed it, but didn't love it. I thought the large ensemble numbers were excellent, particularly the tap dancing scene at the start of Act 2.
But I did find the singing from the leads close to inaudible at times - the mix seemed very unbalanced. And I couldn't escape the fact that it felt like I was watching a very temporary show in a warehouse.
Still, an entertaining afternoon - 3.5/5.

Now that it has settled is there a set show for Jack’s cover? I read that he was on today and wondered if it was a regular thing?

With thanks to whoever shared originally, newsiesthemusical.co.uk/daily-cast/ also might help to build up a pattern - gives cast for the most recent performance if you're inclined to check each time. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be archived?

Just a quick review of last Saturday evening (4 March) and Wednesday's (8 March) shows. 4 March front row Flushing in restricted view seat, but more than made up for by almost being on the stage, and very little of the action is missed. Only slight downside was the sound was a bit variable - probably a trade off between that and the sometimes near overwhelming spectacle in these seats!
Wednesday's show I was in front row left of Manhattan in a normally top price seat but priced at about half that for the Mastercard Priceless promotion. I actually felt the view was often less good than my restricted view seat on Saturday, mainly as some tall gents were in back row of Brooklyn so obscuring the front of stage for me. Still it was a new angle and good to see "Once and for all" from here. And big thumbs up to the cast members who did an end Q&A as part of the Priceless promotion!

Last night was a cut show (two Bowery beauties instead of four, and Brooklyn looking very light on numbers) but one of the women who was on isn't someone I've ever seen in the show before. Have they finally hired a second female swing? I think they've had a female ensemble member out for the last few months, so their only existing swing was already covering a track every night.

I think they have a new female swing, yes, but also one of the male swings has just left. Or at least that's my interpretation of the occasional Twitter posts I see as I scroll!

Finally dragged my weary bones to see this - booked ages ago on an offer before the tube and train strikes were announced so it really was a toss of a coin if I'd just cut my losses. Involved a train and two buses in rain to get there, hotel and a "severe delays" standing on the Jub line back to my London Bridge office this morning. Proper blooming weary now!
The movement throughout the show is the star for me, in my opinion the dancing is far superior to the singing, the staging is really terrific. I was 2nd row in Richmond, great seat for the price paid, very much enjoyed my evening. My goodness, those young guys can really deliver on dance! Is it Ross Dorrington that does those impressive flips? Honestly, such a great cast.
