Don’t understand the question. If you are in London, it won’t close down but some theatres might if numbers are very low. I’ve read that NY is very mask compliant and you show pass to get into venues and it feels v safe. But you have to go thru airport and sit on a place for 7 hours to get there. So if you are in London, I would stay here but f you are NY stay there and try a few different shows.

Considering how many shows are being cancelled daily on both sides of the pond it's not the best moment for international theatre trips tbh

Not sure why someone in Australia is asking a mostly UK based board where to travel.

Not sure why someone in Australia is asking a mostly UK based board where to travel. Because now they’ve clarified, they’re asking for advice on whether to travel to the UK or US for theatre trip, now that Aus borders are opening. OP, would have said London but unfortunately it’s a bit of bad timing as London would normally be a good bet for a a real mix of offerings, but international travel to the UK with Omicron variant kicking off is probably not a good idea. Maybe next summer.

Far have I travelled and much have I seen Dark distant mountains with valleys of green Past painted deserts, the sun sets on fire As he carries me home to the Byre.

They wouldn't be able to travel to the UK or the US as a tourist at the moment anyway. Are there new rules forbidding visitors from entering the UK? Even if willing to jump through the pre- and post-travel testing hoops?

No crystal ball necessary as they are able to travel to both the UK and US as a tourist at the moment.

I am worried that Boris will close down UK at the rate it's going, it's not a matter of 'if' but 'when?'

I would just suggest being very, very cautious. My Magic 8 ball just said a lockdown in January was "without a doubt".
