I'd love to see this again esp if Arthur Darvill and Anoushka Lucas come back- but I am also in the 'waiting for the offers' camp. So expensive...

I think my u3a group are going. Its not cheap, £49 has been mentioned, but if its as good as the NTs 1998? production it will be worth every penny. I do hope that there is chilli at the interval.

I'm sorry but I saw this on Broadway and hated it too. Turn the house lights off!

I'm sorry but I saw this on Broadway and hated it too. Turn the house lights off! I love it but I will say the Young Vic lights were TOO BRIGHT compared to Circle in the Square. I'm not sure how I feel it being traditional proscenium staging....for the transfer. I appreciate the US tour has had to do that from my knowledge but I just love how bold it was - they're going to have to figure out the visuals / projections. As mentioned previously; twice was enough for me but I would recommend seeing it.

Thank the lord Patrick Vaill returns - he's just superb in this.
Interested to see who's play Ado Annie in replacement of Marisha...

Without doubt one of the performances of the year so that's well deserved

loved him in this. So glad he's doing the West End transfer too. So far he's done all the productions of this version of Oklahoma! bar the US national tour right?

I'll be there next week! Really enjoyed the Young Vic run and will be interested to see it on a traditional proscenium staging

The Young Vic twitter account posted an (admittedly obstructed) image of what the pros-arch staging looks like from tech rehearsals yesterday:

Well it looks like it’s very smartly installed at the Wyndham’s.
It still remains one of the most turgid nights I’ve spent in a theatre so… good luck to em but I won’t be seeing it again!

Do they just sit and do a table read of Oklahoma? Does the table split in half and turn into a barn?

Do we think they'll leave the house lights on as they did at the YV?

Looks like the wooden panelling extends into the auditorium too, presumably to minimise the separating effect of moving to a proscenium theatre.

Theyve gone a little overboard with the gun racks haven’t they?

Do we think they'll leave the house lights on as they did at the YV? Do we think they'll go for the prolonged complete blackout (with hardly any prominent warning) which caused fear and panic to someone sitting next to me. I knew it was 'just theatre' but she thought something had gone wrong, and as I was on the very narrow balcony I feared she was going to try and get out, pushing past Totally irresponsible at the Young Vic - ushers said they'd had many complaints and 'situations' around it.
