Yeah, I was there too. Unexpectantly bumped into my sister.
Agreed about Samantha Barks. She's a pretty girl.
Daniel Boys too was good, as a host and as a performer. They were taking abut his beard. He sang two songs, Once I Had A Secret Love from Calamity Jane and You'll Never Walk Alone from Carousel in honour of the Orlando victims.
I left after that.

For some reason when i saw him with that beard my mind jumped to Finding Neverland. If Alfie Boe for some reason doesn't do it.

A couple more images from WEL - from alece10 - the delay in posting them is mine, not his!

I had a lovely day there on Saturday, got a good spot in the crowd and really enjoyed the performances - plus the fact that most shows had put a lot of effort into them, more so than in previous years when a lot of appearances were, shall we say, stripped back. Unfortunately, this meant that the likes of Tom Chambers representing "rehearsals haven't started yet" Crazy for You stood out rather. I'm not sure the Les Mis mash up worked; I too would have preferred to hear both numbers individually and actually thought a rogue backing track had kicked in, as I missed Eva's entrance! The four phantoms were quite impressive, does anyone know who they were?(Apart from Ben F.) The only show that I thought fell a bit flat was Beautiful, didn't quite seem to have the energy of the others. But it was a great day, and the minute's applause tribute was just lovely.

Four Phantoms were Ben Forster (current Phantom), Peter Lockyer (current Valjean), Jeremy Secomb (current Javert) and Scott Davies (current standby Phantom)

Peter also previously understudied the Phantom, Andre, Raoul, and Piangi (!) on the US tour and Broadway.

It will take some time, but i'll post some pics on here later this week. Had a fab time, two days of acting crazy, singing, laughing, celebrating.. West End Live really is one of my yearly highlights. Shout out to everyone who attended as the West End Live audience is by far the nicest ever.

Is the mash-up of I Dreamed A Dream/On My Own that they did at WEL the same as this one?

I've never been to a West End Live... think I've been missing out! Maybe next year... Having been the past 5 years it is now a regular slot in my calendar.
Keep 17/18 and 24/25 June free next year as one of them is bound to be WEL.

Did anyone film the "Sunny Afternoon" complete West End live performance on Saturday as my minidisc recorder played up & I only got half of it.

My friend Danny Kaan shot some pretty cool pictures. He's not on here, but I could share his photo's here.

No, not the circus act. Richard O'Brien's latest show at the St. James theatre in a few weeks.

Has anyone found a video of Showstopper's WEL performance? I've tried googling to no avail. I was hoping someone would get a decent video given it's inherently a one-off.
