WDW is not that expensive , people complaining seem to go to it every year.
Australia has no luxury hotels (maybe why I think WDW is not that expensive)
Disabled people are treated badly in Australia

I have worked with chefs who worked at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons. my pension is getting smaller when I work. Not that I can complain |

London is better than NYC For classical music and opera, yes. For art, food, affordable public transport, and the sheer buzz of a genuine metropolis, no. For theatre they're on a level pegging. As with parks - I couldn't choose between Central/Prospect and Hyde/Green Park. The Met is the best museum in the world, but London has more to offer overall. |

There's The Langham in Melbourne, Park Hyatt Sydney and Crown Towers Perth to just name a few.

I do not class the Langham chain as luxury. I find Crown while fine not luxury too many rooms. Park Hyatt is okay. But all Australian Hotels need more staff way more to be classed as luxury. The only one that approaches luxury is COMO The Treasury . But in Australia we have too high wages to be luxury. Even the Four Seasons in Sydney is crap |

All the galleries or museums in London are free. There is better food in London than NYC. Pubs have food real food, London has a much better range of food too. Can American's cook? not really. Anything less than a Michelin Star or some name chef in NYC then you will have horrible food. Per Se is good in NYC but the Square Fat Duck is way better. The Met charges up to 25 dollars for admission. It nice but British Museum , V&A's (Victoria and Alberts) , National Gallery have better food and better art and are free!. In USA its really pay to win. In UK they do not nickel and dime so much. The Met is good but not as good as the Orsay Louvre nor the Smithsonian museums. And the Smithsonian Museums are free. Also the UK has wonderful public transport and you can hire a taxi as well and they get you in 20 minutes or less. In NYC it might take all day |

Why should WE need to search on Google or asking for clarification when YOU seek to start a conversation that has nothing whatsover to do with the general topics of this board, which is a) about theatre and b) about Britain? Nobody here gives a fig about (the imaginary lack of) luxury hotels in Australia or has the money or time to hang around Disneyworld all the time. The whole post just reeks of entitlement and showing off. Maybe seek travel forums for that kind of thing? And a broad sweeping statement like "London is better than NYC" doesn't fly either, especially with no further explanation as both cities have good and bad sides. |

All the galleries or museums in London are free. No they're not. Real pubs are a dying breed in London. And I'm pretty sure I've had plenty of decent non-Michelin starred food in New York. If you mean the Heston Blumethal joint that isn't in London, then you're probably right seeing as it's regularly rated the world's best restuarant. It's free for locals, that' the tourist price. And to be honest, I have no issue with museums charging their massive overheads to tourists. Whatever floats your boat. I personally love the flat $2.75 fare to go literally anywhere, including the ferry and tramline. You'll have to tell me about this "20 minutes or less" taxi service, I sure could have done with it last night! |

I don’t want to sound defensive or dismissive because your impression of the forum is totally valid. But to clarify for all readers our rules about what we allow and don’t allow are here. The bottom line is that we can criticise the performers and creatives professional endeavours. example: ”That actor Johnny Comelately is a crap actor and he can’t sing” - Allowed ” That actor Johnny Comelately is ugly, has a big nose and plastic surgery and his wife is having an affair” - Not allowed. Threads like this one are for people to vent about things they may not like. People who don’t want to read that stuff or participate should avoid the thread. Not every thread on this forum will appeal to every member. Participating in any thread is voluntary. Threads live or die by how much people want to engage. Members should use the report function if they think a rule has been broken. All reports are reviewed and discussed by the admin team. I hope this helps. |

I'd add: if you report a post do not also attack the person on the forum. If you simply report a post then we can just remove it. If you report a post and also start arguing with the poster then loads of other people add their own opinions and we have to spend ages trying untangle the quotes without upsetting anyone who innocently wandered into the middle of the mess. |
