Still feeling slightly stung from SRB fronting the mediocre Bach & No Bite at The Bridge so I'm sniffing at this with not much more than curiosity.
Can I just say that Saoirse Ronan as Lady Macbeth is 4 years younger than was Jessie Buckley recently as Juliet.

londonpostie, you can always do the same as me: take this as an opportunity to go and see James McArdle, because he is excellent! No potential celebrity disappointments, and the whole thing is guaranteed to be a success. Well, if we manage to get tickets, that is... :)

Do we think there will be tickets left for this come general on sale booking? Yes.

Stooopid question but do you have any idea from the director and so on whether this will be a weirdo production or something suitable for 11 year old and 9 year old who have ‘studied’ play at school ?

I was looking last night as I might, potentially, be an 'Islington First' person >>>
No idea what it means in terms of booking.

I wouldn't chance it. Yael is erratically brilliant and her stuff can be very out there .... time will tell

The only stalls tickets I could find were restricted view, although plenty in the circle I've generally found what the Almeida label as 'restricted' to be absolutely fine. The support pillars for the second level are really quite narrow.

I agree with Dave B, caa, I've never had a bad seat at the Almeida, and I usually go for the cheaper ones.

So set in the future? Hmmm…might be interesting. Sorry to remind you of it, but the Norris one at NT was also set in the future and that wasn’t in the slightest bit interesting.

Don’t think so. Last R&J I saw was RSC, unremarkable. Had odd idea of showing ghosts behind the actress giving us her quite good soliloquy as if the director didn’t trust her to be compelling enough. I hate that. Trust the actor, I say. Anyway, if set in the future they would have mobile phones and it wouldn’t be a tragedy and they could do it as a farce. When I am very old…I intend to go to a prod of R&J and stand up and yell at them all, not quite decided at which point to disrupt.

2033 - I made the mistake of assuming they wouldn't let anyone who isn't a member into the queue before 12pm

Well the seats are not ideal, got 2 partially restricted seats in the stalls for final preview- £20 each but hope it won’t be a huge problem.

2033 - I made the mistake of assuming they wouldn't let anyone who isn't a member into the queue before 12pm It said that anyone who was in the queue before 12pm would be randomly assigned a place. I left and rejoined at 12pm and was 186th. Just picked up a restricted view £20 ticket.

123 in the queue. Not a great selection of seats left for any dates that suited us but got two 'restricted view' that we have sat in previously and were not at all restricted so fingers crossed.

Mercifully painless booking. I got E20-22 on a Saturday matinee in the circle, restricted view but I've sat there multiple times before and it's been perfectly fine so hopefully that holds true here too. Can't get much better than seeing Saoirse Ronan for £10 a seat anyway!

Yep, well done Almedia. 17 minutes for me. In the Stalls but a potential neck bender: £20 + donation for hassle-free efficienc.
As well as herself, looking forward to one of @forrest 's A-listers .... Mr James McArdle.
