And if it does, it will be wonderful. But until then there’s no need for two identical conversations to be happening across the forum. Your DEH thread has been chugging along for months now with still no official word.

Your DEH thread has been chugging along for months now with still no official word. Well I agree, the DEH thread was just a rumour. But I never intended for a rumour thread to still be around this far along. That's on you all, I barely read it! To be honest, does it really make a difference? Why not have a discussion about a musical in the musical thread? It's not that deep, who cares?

I will say, and I said this on twitter too... I'm not willing to spend alot of money on Hamilton, just because I don't care that much. But Dolly, if it comes over, I'll sell a lung.

Not sure if Baz will have any news on anything tonight, isn't he still in Cannes for the film festival?

Makes me giggle that I picked up a flyer for the Kenwright Evita tour calling it the “theatrical event of the year”. Honey no, THIS will be the theatrical event of the year, hell it will be THE THEATRICAL EVENT OF THE CENTURY if it happens!!!

Anything is theatre event of the year over anything Kenwright-produced.

If you light the touch paper you can’t say it’s not your fault that it burned. Besides, you actually posted there as recently as two months ago. About the time the last activity happened... And as for your last question: No, nobody said it’s deep. Yes, I care. As do others. For the very reasons I’ve already stated.

IF this does end up at the palladium I will be booking The day they go on sale I don't think tickets won't go on sale till around end of August/September time though. this was going to be my back up show for my new york trip in january but it looks like ill be seejng waitress or mean girls instead. the fact it might be coming to london is even better. dreading the ticket prices though 😂

From what I'm hearing, sadly not a lot of truth in the Palladium rumour, alas. Thanks for the info, Monkey. Now, who do I need to speak with to get this done?

It sounds like the rumour came from her last night on Broadway - someone mentioned it to someone else that they were thinking it but no plans were in motion.
A shame, but I'm glad i didn't put my ticket on stubhub! Booked my flights and AirBnb this morning and am ready for 7 weeks on Tuesday!!

Well she’s back tonight! Utterly thrilling that Bette returns as Dolly for the final 6 weeks. I fly out on Monday, and a week today I’ll be watching her do it!!

Went to matinee yesterday. Bette and David have such a connection between them. It was just so wonderful to see them together. There are two scenes where Bette has a chance to really ham it up and in one of them David was having to hide his face and then he turned the table on her and she was hiding behind her feather fan. So much fun to watch. Charlie was incredible. He came out to Stage Door afterward and again, I got flustered and he was so sweet. He took the pic of the two of us. It happened when I saw him in Half a SixPence in London too. I don't take them very often so I'm not too swift with them. He Melanie Moore and, I think, Alli Mauzey, were the only main cast members to come out. He was the one I most wanted to see anyway There was a couple next to me from London and I warned them that American audiences aren't like in the UK. They said they don't go to the theatre very often. I told them that people will acknowledge when favorites first come out on stage and that when Bette came down those stairs in that red dress that people were going to go nuts. And we did. I even had tears in my eyes when the orchestra started the overture. It's just such an iconic musical here. I told them that they HAD to see 42nd Street when they got home ... and I took a picture of the 42nd ST sign when walking. Day was worth the total 7.5 hours total on bus from home to Broadway.

Great if it does. I will queue down Oxford Street for a ticket.
Didn’t Mark Shenton’s Mate, think Carl Woodward say it’s happening - three months ago?

There was a thread about this a few months ago but I think it was deleted.
I so hope this is true and if so, I'll be booking tickets right away, no question.

Fingers crossed for this. It would be great to see this here as it closes before my NY trip in the autumn. I’m looking to do something special theatre-wise for my 40th next year so this definitely qualifies.
