I would have loved to see both Elaine Paige and Sally Ann Triplett alas I didn’t. Saw Sutton Foster and Stephanie J Block play the role on Broadway and both were sensational. Debbie Kurup was enjoyable in the role, but could never carry the show in the West End. Katherine Kingsley or Summer Strallen would be great for the role of Reno, but that wouldn’t sell 2000 seats 8 times a week, you would need to stunt cast the other roles, such as already pointed out earlier in this thread - Moonface, Billy Crocker, Hope Harcourt and Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. It is hard to find someone like Nicole Scherzinger. Don’t get me started having Gary Wilmot as Moonrace or Niger Havers as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh, that would be a big pass from me. John Barrowman as Moonface?

I remember seeing Sally Ann Triplett and John Barrowman in Anything Goes at Drury Lane. Sally Ann was magnificent and certainly did her share of dancing. I remember meeting her once and asking her about her favourite role and Anything Goes was it.

Could we just cast Bonnie Langford as Reno and Clare Halse as Hope - and add a dance number for the two of them please!

Could we just cast Bonnie Langford as Reno and Clare Halse as Hope - and add a dance number for the two of them please! As much I want to see them together again. Having Bonnie as Reno might be a a bit of a stretch! What 20 year old stockbroker goes around hanging with a 50 year old night club singer

What 20 year old stockbroker goes around hanging with a 50 year old night club singer Well Bonnie's a year younger than Jane McDonald so would still be slightly closer to the young guy's age!

I gather a Broadway star will play Reno!
I wonder if Baz will break the story tomorrow? About time we had some decent showbiz news

With so many UK performers out of work why bring someone over from the US, surely we have enough leading ladies in the UK?!

Is it the Honey monster? Jessica Alba who played Honey in a dodgy 00’s dance flick called Honey? Emma Barton who plays Honey in Eastenders? Queen Bee Beyonce? (Bees make Honey see?) Renee Zellwegger or CZJ who would’ve sung ‘Funny Honey’ in Chicago? Will Jane take over afterwards? 😁

Must admit have heard of Megan, but not seen anything she has been in or could I name anything and not sure if she is a big pull for the British , but I may be wrong on that. For next year i would have thought a British name may have been better as we are unlikely to be getting many US tourists.
