They played a song from the album on Heart the other day - I assume it was this one. She’s terrible. I thought to myself, “My mum thinks Sheridan Smith can’t sing - wait til she hears this!”

For a song that's about not being able to get on with your life because the person you love has died, she's singing it like she's not really that bothered!! There are some beautiful versions out there of this song (Caissie Levy, Siobhan Dillon, Sam Bailey). Sadly this one won't be joining that list for me!

I'm sorry, I really do try and be constructive and put personal tastes aside but this woman is borderline talentless. So many great vocalists out there - but the cult of celebrity dominates. In the week we lost Dame Diana Rigg this is simply another reminder of our descent into commercially-driven mediocrity!

There are some beautiful versions out there of this song (Caissie Levy, Siobhan Dillon, Sam Bailey). I have to agree here. This is one of my favourite show songs and Amanda sings it with no emotion really. I am not a big Amanda fan , i just posted it out of interest really! |

That awkward pause to make sure they hit the final note says it all. Bad karaoke. Slightly better than Mel C and Emma B but that's not exactly difficult.

It sounded mimed to me. She has an odd tone to her voice, can't quite put my finger on it. I always associate Not while I'm around with Barbra Streisand as she sung it on her London dates in 1994. I didn't realise it was from a show until afterwards. This is how to sing it:
