If any of my upcoming shows get cancelled, I will use any refunded money to donate to a theatre charity such as Mousetrap, or to Birmingham Hippodrome/Capital Theatres. They will need all the contributions they can get right now.

Sounds like TodayTix may not be offering cash refunds for cancelled shows, but only a voucher. This is the relevant bit of the thread:
If they can't deliver what you've bought, you're entitled to your money back. Take it up with your credit card company if necessary.

The Bridge has cancelled I Remember It Well and The Southbury Child
--
After advice this afternoon from the Prime Minister asking theatres to close, we are cancelling performances of I Remember It Well and The Southbury Child.
We intend to re-schedule both productions as soon as we can. We’ll let you know about this as quickly as possible and hope very much that you will re-book. In the meantime, you are of course entitled to a refund – but you can, if you wish, choose for it to be refunded as a credit to your account. (That would be very helpful.)
If you have any questions about any of this, you can be in touch with us at boxoffice@bridgetheatre.co.uk. As you can imagine, we will have a lot of emails to respond to in the next few days, so we appreciate your patience as we process each one.
On a personal note, take care of yourself and the people around you. Stay well, and we’ll be back for our next production, The Book of Dust – La Belle Sauvage, in July. Yours,
The Bridge

They will need all the contributions they can get right now. This might be another thread (in fact, I think we had a thread on it once), but maybe we could collate a list of theatre charities, or ways to support buildings and companies we love? For example, if you could provide links and a wee description of those charities, I'm sure all of us would be interested in knowing what they do, and up for supporting the theatre in absentia - and if anyone else knows any other charities, the more the merrier! It would be fab to have as diverse (regionally and topically) a set of theatrical charities, so we can support what we love in as many ways as possible. I'm particularly worried about those actors playing spear carrier 2 or understudying Perdita who maybe just lost one of their first big jobs - not to be grim, but the levels of depression in this field are already high, and a show of support would be great*. We all care about theatre for different reasons, and given we'll all be saving money we'd otherwise spaff up a wall, maybe we can - if possible - draw attention to good causes close to our hearts instead. *And, if any out-of-work actors are on here, or reading here in need of emotional support, I personally would love to hear stories of being in this business and support you in this dark time. If you need is a shoulder to cry on, I'm sure we can be that shoulder!

I'm seeing anger about this online - it seems that advice to "stay away from theatres" doesn't legally count as "Government Action" closing theatres so shows can't claim on their insurance.

Just heartbroken about this - theatre is the thing I turn to comfort me, remind me there's more to life than what I'm worrying about, make me feel I'm not alone etc. I don't know what I'm going to do without it.
And I'm terrified a lot won't survive this.
All feels so scary right now.
Sorry for the downer...

I think they exactly the same with Broadway too.

I am wondering how far in advance deems for a refund. My trip isn't until May but at this point I'd just rather not go at all and stay safe. I'm travelling with my elderly mother from Ireland on the plane and it wouldn't be advisable for me.

Well on the bright side, with closures for the plague and constant threatens of closure, we still got King Lear, Hamlet, Much Ado and all that lot. So fingers crossed this won’t last too long and we know that we on this board will be back in strength to the theatres.

I don't do pubs or clubs, I watch plays and films. Without them, I realise what a huge part of my life they are and feel absolutely bereft. It's where I make and meet friends so months and months of nothing in the diary is absolutely terrifying.

Haven't heard anything about tours. I'm supposed to be seeing Beautiful at Wimbledon Theatre next week. All my other shows (5 others, mostly West End) for this week and next are definitely closed, I'm assuming this one won't happen either??

The New Wimbledon is an ATG theatre so presumably covered by their announcement that all their venues are suspended.

Technically dance rather than theatre, but Sadlers Wells shows are cancelled until June 8th.

It's not impossible they will reopen next week, but I'd say it was highly unlikely. (I'm also booked for Beautiful there - or was)

Thanks. I'd forgotten, or didn't know they were ATG because someone else bought the tickets.

Might just be me, but can it be made clear somewhere which theatres this applies too? List of SOLT member theatres here: solt.co.uk/about-london-theatre/solt-member-theatres/(the Affiliates may not count for this purpose, but might have made their own announcements already) Link for UK theatres - go here: uktheatre.org/who-we-are-what-we-do/about-uk-theatre/and click 'list of members'. Not all of the members are venues, as membership is wider than that for the organisation. Broadly, it's every West End theatre, most of the major commercial theatres, and some of the NPOs.

I'm still waiting to hear about The Other Palace and Cadogan Hall. Supposed to see shows at both of these in the next month. No activity on their Twitters.

I have it from a reliable source that Kenwright has pulled all shows for the foreseeable future.
