Trevor Nunn is 80 today, and just about to open his latest production at Jermyn Street. A great stage director across many genres: Shakespeare, Musicals, Opera, etc. and a great Artistic Director who created the RSC as we know it now. Not well known is that while at the RSC and NT he personally funded productions (of new work at the NT) out of his own pocket. Nice to see tributes to him today while he is still active.
