Thanks, but what are the audience voting for? Their favourite voice?
Voting has been awful this season, and probably last too. Awful acts who can’t sing are being kept in over good singers because they are funny. I know the UK version is meant to be a Saturday night family entertainment show, which is why they don’t take it seriously, especially the panel and their guesses, but this is why I prefer the US version because it’s much more like X Factor. They have better singers, bigger stars, a great panel who make real guesses, and whatever you think of Nick Cannon he’s a really good host. It’s a proper singing competition. Interesting. thank you. So ITV have gone for a different "angle". I saw the highlights of LeAnn Rimes on the US show (one of my favourite singers) and it was a joy to hear her voice!

The studio audience vote, the two acts with the least votes sing again, the judges save their favourite. There's not much more criteria to it than that, it could very easily be manipulated to get whatever winner they wanted really. I'd say the stronger voices go the furthest, generally the comedians/sports stars/actors tend to leave in the early weeks.

Essentially yeah.... or favourite performance may be more accurate, not necessarily the voice alone.

All the songs tonight are clues and Jellyfish just sang Leave A Light On - Amber Riley wrote a song with the same title for the The Saturdays.
Otter is Daisy May Cooper I think.
Ricky Wilson is Phoenix.
Jacket Potato is Richie Sambora from Bon Jovi. The fundraiser was “halfway there” in the clue package.

Hmmm jacket potato is either Brian Conley or Shane Ritchie, the clue package was set in a working man’s club, and it sounds exactly like one of them. Amber Riley, Claire Richards and Charlie Simpson, Natalie Appleton are the absolute right people, these aren’t up for debate anymore. All the clues link up to them 100% and it’s clear from their voices too.

Hard to predict who's going to win, really want a male winner so would be happy with either Rhino or Phoenix.

Absolutely did not see Katherine Ryan coming at all. Not a fan of her normally but she certainly had me fooled!
Richie Sambora is a hell of a shout, feel like a huge hint has been dropped with the glimpse of Jacket Potato playing guitar next week.
We're convinced that Otter is Daisy-May Cooper too. 9 to 5 sounded a lot like her, RADA reference, BAFTA winner, repeats of "it's not real" felt like a reference to This Country which is a mockumentary.

Did anyone go to see the show when it was on tour? Is it a good ‘live event’ experience?

James Arthur confirmed on Twitter earlier in the year that he isn't Rhino. It's pretty much guaranteed to be Charlie Simpson.

James Arthur confirmed on Twitter earlier in the year that he isn't Rhino. It's pretty much guaranteed to be Charlie Simpson. Although given that Claire Richards was speculating on Twitter about who Knitting was as the most recent show was airing. perhaps we should not regard Twitter as a definitive statement... (I don't have an opinion on who Rhino is, the only point I'm making is that a "confirmation on Twitter" at this stage is probably meaningless.)

The Masked Singer UK YouTube account has accidentally posted Knitting being revealed and it's been there since the weekend if anyone wants to go and have a look.

Whatever infinitesimal levels of doubt that Charlie Simpson is Rhino have surely been crushed by the Wedding Crashers/"crashed the wedding" clue and references to puppets (Thunderbirds, which Busted did a song for) on Saturday

A very enjoyable final and I was pleased with the last two 😊 I did think Phoenix was going to win, as he had the more upbeat songs and was so good channelling his character. I’ve like Rhino all series (and managed to guess correctly!) so a worthy winner for me.

It's been a great series, did love how Rita was not impressed she didn't get Ricky Wilson considering she worked with him on The Voice.
In terms of future celebrities my top 5 would be Delta Goodrem, Mika, Sarah Brightman, Julian Ovenden and Andrea Corr.

The British version really does need a Dick van Dyke moment. All of the reveals this season have been fairly obvious or underwhelming. I suppose Natalie Appleton might get cast in a musical or two, but only Ricky Wilson seemed to be having any fun with the concept.

I actually got it right tonight for once. Quite an impressive booking for the UK version.

My only surety is that Bigfoot is Alex Brooker: Huge hint was being compared to a sporting rhinocerous, and he's played for the Leeds Rhinos disabled rugby team. The cast on his leg is most likely covering up his prosthetic leg and also works as a reference to The Last Leg.
I thought Cricket might be either Joe Thomas or James Buckley, due to the "Gold Dust" reference and "ins and outs" possibly being a reference to The Inbetweeners.
i think Dippy Egg is someone who has been on Bake Off and I'm a Celebrity, but that doesn't narrow it down an awful lot.

Bigfoot is Alex Brooker, the Last Leg clues plus the fact it sounded like him confirmed it for me.
Maypole is someone who was on either Big Brother or Celebrity Big Brother but not sure at the moment,

Brooker sang to end the recent Last Leg Christmas special and has clearly been getting some lessons in!
