A name for the Baker would be sensible - he was very weak. To be honest, I would say they only have to keep Alex Young, Audrey Brisson and Julian Bleach, apart from that they could change virtually any other actor for me.

I thought both Barney and Lauren were fine jacob but not spectacular enough that the production would be worse off without them. andrew Corden isn't headed for this, but I have heard he's headed for something else on our shores...

What about Nicola Hughes? I thought her performance as the Witch was one of the key elements that made the show, despite being somewhat impinged by her wardrobe. Agree about Alex Young needing to return to this. Barney was good but I got the impression it was a gig to get through him the summer and heart wasn't in it. Corden's prob gonna end up in 1M2G I'd guess?

Oh that's not what I'd heard - it was bad enough first time round, do we really need to do it again?!

Corden was fantastic in the role and really did deserve the Tony for it.
I thought James was coming back to finally do 'a funny thing happened on the way to the forum'

I think Into the Woods is firmly in the “not coming back” club as all things stand

I’m so confused now whether you’re all discussing ITW or “the play linked to the Phoenix”!!

Into the Woods is categorically not having a further life. There wasn’t enough interest from London theatre owners.
The play going into the Phoenix has (potentially) an audience as big as Harry Potter. It will be a very hard ticket to get I’m sure.

I was talking about Into the Woods but what do I know... (In fairness I do usually bow to MrB's knowledge)

I need this production back in my life 😓 Lauren Conroy, Alex Young, Audrey Brisson and Barney Wilkinson were all really special in their roles.

The mix of ratings at the top of this thread is very rare. It's unusual for a show to be so highly rated. There's something seriously amiss and worrying if there isn't room for shows of this calibre in the West End.

Isn't that just a concert production? I guess it is “Just a concert” but it’s pretty damn exceptional. I'd just rather have a full-fleged production like this than having something that is carried by who they cast in the thing. - however, I do think some into the woods is better than none.
