For Dr Tom:
Your position in the queue doesn't change - but the queue gets shorter (albeit very gradually) - so your number won't change however the waiting time will.
It's a bit confusing given the different ways in which the queuing systems work on different theatre sites.

Sorry for the ignorance...what is making this play so popular? Not the play, but the casting. Chalamet is a white-hot young actor with a huge international fan base.

Sorry for the ignorance...what is making this play so popular? I think it must be Timothee. I knew he was popular (I think he's a brilliant actor) but he's only really been in indie dramas so I'm not sure where this enormous amount of popularity is coming from. I guess maybe there's just more crossover between theatre goers and people who watch those kinds of movies.

USE TODAY TIX!
I just got mine there, so easy and quick! You don’t get to pick your exact seat but there’s a better chance of a seat on TT if you’re desperate to get in.

A lot of tickets available when I got through just now, even towards the start of the run. Got our "usual" OV seats at the normal price so quite happy with that

I managed to get through on the phone earlier but my mum (who I'm going with as she's my usual theatre-going partner in crime and also she loves Chalamet and it's around her birthday) is working today so wasn't available to get confirmation on the seats they were offering me so luckily the person sorting the tickets held them for me with a reference number (I felt really bad though because I was kind of holding them up in the hopes that I'd get a response from my mum and they're obviously ridiculously busy). I've since called and after another half an hour of waiting I got through and booked. We're in T25 and 26 which seem like they'll be okay looking at pictures of seats on Seat plan and having sat pretty far back in the stalls before for A Monster Calls and being fine. I will go insane if I have to hear another second of that hold music ever again though.

Do not despair if you're still queueing. After 2.5 hours I got through and found almost all of the sides of dress circle and slips available on my chosen date. As I suspected yesterday, they weren't available on agency presales.

I only picked up one of the cheap seats in the end.

Took me 2 and a half hours to get through, but still managed to get one of the end of row q seats for the date I wanted. There didn’t seem to be much left in the stalls on the dates I looked at, although I could only book early in the run.

I was tempted to go for Todaytix but was wanting to retain some hope of exchanging the tickets if I hit problems with the date. Though in reality it will probably sell out anyway!

Took 4 hours to get in but there are LOADS of tickets left - for pretty much every date. So I wonder if it's more the system being completely rubbish as opposed to demand being THAT high. Managed to get 4 tickets at reasonable prices VERY easily. The system is quite glitchy though and attempts to throw the user out constantly but you can tap back a few times and it should still be holding stuff in the basket

That is reassuring as my countdown timed out when I was in a meeting and I had to start again. Apparently I'll be allowed to book in 15 minutes...

Got in after 3 hours, sat I wanted was there on first date went in so quickly brought though sounds like they'd have been options if I'd looked round. Had to do on phone which was bit challenging, pure fluke I was in different office with signal.

What is Row J like in the stalls? Particularly 26/27.

Got in at 2:47pm and noticed all the premium tickets had gone. Was willing to fork out 125 for a seat in row e/f but ended up with a seat in centre row N for 90. Was not expecting a 2.75hr wait

Are they only doing E-Tickets for this? That is certainly the only option they gave me. Call me old fashioned, but I like a physical ticket.
Very excited to have booked though!

Was not expecting a 2.75hr wait Were you looking for a particular date? Because after I got in after 4 hours I think I must have checked 90% of the dates and they all had premium tickets available.

I couldn't face queuing yesterday, so decided to wait until today. Straight in, and booked the seat I wanted, for the performance I wanted. Bish-bash-bosh!
Still a terrible experience trying to book on a 4x2 smartphone, and as an e-ticket is the only option, what's the point of having a drop-down box with one choice? There's even the option to change on the next screen...for another e-ticket. 😕

I haven't had a physical ticket from The Old Vic in a while. It's a shame, nothing to go in my collection afterwards
