You'd think that Willemijn is the only MT performer they have, huh? I can't wait for her to be Alexander Hamilton and Evan Hansen when the shows get international licenses.

Why shouldn't Willemijn be starring in a juicy part in her homeland? She worked in Germany for most of the last years while plenty other Dutch performers shone in various roles. What a strange remark. I don't care for Waitress and won't see it anywhere, but I'm glad she found a show with a starry role in which to return. The Netherlands are giving young performers plenty of opportunities to shine, too.

This is only her second big role in The Netherlands after Wicked closed in 2013, and her third overall. She mostly works in Germany. |
