Couldn’t resist so I’m here today for the Muckup Matinee with all the leads on (can’t make the remaining two shows, unfortunately). A very enthusiastic cast, especially Scott Paloma who is embracing the opportunity. Lots of little changes and lots of audience members picking up on things and laughing. And fabulous to hear how much Miracle Chance loved Nativity 2 (but not Nativity 1). Let’s see what fun the second half brings! I was there and it was amazing! Had to explain muck up matinees to my friend. May now need to watch Nativity 2 (not 1) again!

A few muck ups that I noticed and can remember (fiyero glad you got to attend and do feel free to add/correct). Note, the below may contain some mild spoilers if you don't know the show.
Quite a few places with small costume changes. Even the technical team got into it with a different background at one point, the lights kept off, the background music playing when it normally be shut off etc. I think there were things going on backstage too as Scott Folan had several bouts of the giggles. Lots more overacting than usual, changes in the group dance numbers and some small wording changes too.
James Hameed had a teddy bear that made some appearances with him (and peered around the curtains). The teddy bear got a bow at the end.
Miles Paloma entered the first theatre club scene carrying a pot plant. At the end, when he was asked why he was doing theatre he said it was Christine "and the plant" (although his microphone got shut off as he said it).
When the girls left a scene, it was with a "c-c-c-c-come on".
When Miles took Miracle on their first date, they went to the Toby Carvery instead of Pizza Hut.
Miles reason for standing up Miracle was attending Finger Painting instead of Archery.
The held chair during Theatre Practice had a sign on it saying it was taken instead of just a bag (the paper was screwed up into a ball and thrown around).
During play rehearsal, most of the cast rapped their lines.
In the improvised sequence in the drama room, after Miracle complements Scott on his British accent, she asked if he had seen Nativity 2, which also led to singing. I've never seen the film so I didn't pick up on line references (sorry Scott, maybe I'll watch it this coming Christmas), but it was Scott's film debut.
Some very random hand movements and heavy shoves during Two-Player Game.
At the end of the song where the Squip group appear for the first time in costume, they remained on the stage behind Scott for quite a while before leaving (with Miles having a massive grin on his face).
A different assortment of people in the mall at the start of that scene, including two slow walking elderly females instead of one. A different assortment at the end too, including Jake as a very overweight police officer.
The ensemble dancing got very near the front of the stage and in front of the leads (particularly Scott and Stuart) at several points. Two of the cast (I think it was Blake and James at the end of the mall scene) were dancing around Scott with an outstretched tape measure and Scott did very well to avoid ending up being caught up in it.
At the Halloween party, a second clown arrived with the the same costume as the first clown and had to leave to go and find another costume.
In the final hospital scene, after James Hameed has revealed his sexuality, he rolled his wheelchair forward so he could grab Blake Patrick Anderson's backside. This one definitely caught BPA by surprise and most of the next minute or so was full of laughter and difficult to hear. James also stared longingly upwards into BPA's eyes as he was wheeled offstage.
Great fun anyway and I ended up in exactly the same mid-Stalls seat as when I saw this earlier in the week! There were definitely more muck ups than those that I noticed at the time, but that's what I can remember right now (and I'm sure there were more subtle things I missed). A shame this is closing as it's been a joy to see for the past few weeks. I do think this could have a longer run at a smaller theatre, or tour, but right now I'll wish everyone a suitably fitting final show for tomorrow.
