Have you tried asking if they'll change the theatre ticket date to February?

I know it's not the same, but you could still visit London and catch some shows if you have the rail tickets.

Wish I'd held off booking Ghost Le Musical - this was closing a week before I went originally. I'm at Disneyland Paris, trying to work out if I can spare 2 evenings...

Transport in Paris is in complete disarray at the moment, with national strikes and demonstrations against against pension reforms. My best friend lives in the city and it’s a complete sh*t show apparently. The metro hasn’t operated for almost two weeks. Roads gridlocked.
Doesn’t seem to be getting much if any coverage on our media though.

Beware if you’re travelling to Paris any time soon.

I don't know about the 'mainstream' BBC news, which I gave up on years ago, but there was a brief mention on the World Service last night.

I'm always suspicious of rounded figures, but trade at hotels in Paris is down 30% on December 2018, at cafes and bars it is down 40%, and at restaurants it is down a full 50%.

The strike is ongoing and if not called off I will end up missing this and Ghost (on the 22nd and 23rd) 

I got to and from Ghost OK yesterday, all seems normal. On my way to Funny Girl now (via the Eiffel Tower, such a tourist)

I loved it. The theatre is beautiful, it’s i a park and has recently been renovated. I was moved from the top balcony to the first circle. They made such a fuss and checked I was happy with the new seat. More people moved when the doors were shut (which seems to be the rule)

The show was great. Christina was amazing and seemed to be channelling Barbra without it being an impersonation. All the roles were acted beautifully but I think I’d have to say I preferred Darius in the recent production. He seemed a powerful man which didn’t come across in this production. The ensemble numbers were super and the set design was simple and clever.

I wouldn’t hesitate to see it if you have the chance

I saw the matinee last Sunday and thought it was a very good production. I agree with previous posters in that I preferred the suave performance of Darius than the actor who played Nicky in this one (though, by all accounts, the real Nicky Arnstein was far from suave and debonair!)

I also agree that Christina Bianco’s own voice is slightly thin and nasal, but she does sing it well and acts the part very well. I much preferred her to Sheridan Smith actually. The ending as delivered by Bianco is far more poignant and affecting than with Smith. I didn’t realise that Bianco was such a tiny lady; nevertheless, she delivers a knockout performance in my opinion.

In terms of etiquette, I don’t think ice-creams or merchandise etc..were on sale at any point (certainly there was no selling of anything in the auditorium or bar area). Nobody seemed to be eating anything at any time in the auditorium (not even at the interval!) and the audience behaviour was impeccable (maybe I was just lucky!)

The theatre itself is lovely. The bar is very expensive (€27 for two drinks!!!), but the production is well worth seeing. Hope you enjoy it like we did.
