Also sure I saw on twitter that a casting notice had been posted for a broadway production. Looking for Bobbie, Joanne, and many of the other principals. May just be for understudies or standbys, but looks like they're trying to get this on BWay!!!

Rumor has it that Rosalie Craig has been told she is not transferring over to Broadway. Patti still hasn’t confirmed if she is going to do the show either.
These are all rumors so I except this post to be dead wrong once the announcements are made.

I strongly doubt Patti would do it without Rosalie.

Patti did say in an interview somewhere she won't do it unless the majority of the cast came with her. She noted it's the closest she'd ever bonded with a cast on any show.

Jonathan Bailey is definately going because at Westend Live recently I sat next to one of the American producers of the show and told him Jonathan must be in it so, of course, it's going to happen. 😁

Ideally, if I was the producer on this, I would try to get the entire cast over as I thought they were superb. If they were to cast another Bobbie I'd hope they would go for someone similar to Rosalie. I liked Rosalie though so would hope she would go too!

I can't imagine a transfer without Rosalie, Patti and Jonathan. They were a staple of this production. The others were absolutely fine - but I doubt they'd be on the consideration list.

I dont think American Equity is as generous as British Equity and very much doubt they would allow the whole cast to perform there. Would be nice if they let the Fleeshman go and the Americans get the pleasure of seeing his blue pants.

^ No shortage of ripped supporting-actor types on Broadway.

Well to be fair the Americans already had their chance to perve over him see him perform in Ghost a few years back. Especially during that somewhat creepy promo appearance with Sharon Osbourne.

Rumours pointing towards Katrina Lenk as Bobbie. Interesting choice if its true It feels a little left field if true, but its certainly an interesting choice. I do wish that they make this a 12 week run, and get Sutton to do it April-June/July before Music Man happens - I just think she'd be perfect for it.

These rumors of Bobbi on BWW are bogus. Someone decided that they are really really not interested in Rosalie Craig, and it all started from there. It's all baseless.

These rumors of Bobbi on BWW are bogus. Someone decided that they are really really not interested in Rosalie Craig, and it all started from there. It's all baseless. The BWW thread on Company is a dumpster fire. There is a group of posters that are pushing for Jessie Mueller and won’t except any other casting suggestions. In a perfect world the whole cast would transfer over. But, its to cost probative for a limited run.

But, in all fairness, the Broadway producers really AREN'T interested in Rosalie... the people they are suggesting may not be right, but the information of it not being Rosalie (at least at the time I last heard) is not wrong...

God they’re getting into a right lather with it over there aren’t they?
Do you think they come and snoop on here and say the same about us?
Bet they had a right laugh at the Hello Dolly thing 😆

The people on the BWW are suggesting that it’s going to be Katrina Lenk because Sondheim himself personally picked her out because he was so impressed with her when she sang at a recent Sondheim gala - not sure how legit that is but I think she could be a decent choice. I think she’s a way better choice than Jessie Mueller who doesn’t fit the role of Bobbie at all to me.

To be fair no one in NYC knows RC and she isn’t the BEST singer. An American known actress could easily replace her.

I don't see why they NEED a new Bobbi. Whoever they get, whether a Jessie or a Katrina, isn't going to significantly shift tickets. LuPone barely shifts tickets, as we've seen with War Paint.
They don't need a star. It will be a limited run to begin with. This is New York and New Yorkers love Sondheim. It's the first major revival of Company. It's a revisal that had a lot of buzz going on already. It will be easy for them to create new buzz.
I'm not attached to Rosie or anything, but this is her part. She created it from scratch and from the moment this production began, you can tell that it was hers and she WANTED it. I doubt you'd be able to bring a new actress to the role who'd be able to own it the way Rosie does.

All signs point towards the show going into the Jacobs Theatre. Still no word on dates.

I felt that several of the design choices were based around RC’s very specific ‘look’ too.
