A statement has been released for those going to the tour:
"Beverley Knight’s I ❤ Soulsville Tour dates, scheduled for the latter half of June 2017, have been postponed until October. This is due to Beverley having to undergo a medical procedure later this month, following diagnosis of Uterine Fibroids, a common condition amongst all women, more prevalent and often more aggressive in women of Afro-Caribbean descent. Doctors have advised surgery should take place as soon as possible to avoid escalation of complications. Beverley will need complete rest for several weeks after surgery in order to recover, after which she should return to full fitness. The dates have been postponed to October this year. All tickets will be valid for new dates or may be refunded at point of purchase"
New date and venue: Friday 13 October at The London Palladium

AS well as Beverley's upcoming October tour with the songs of Stevie Wonder and her May show at the Festival Hall celebrating her 25 years in the business she said on Radio 2 this morning she is preparing for another theatre show next year. No indication was given, but I wonder what it is. Any suggestions , I would assume it will be something new coming into London next year, but maybe not. Not sure at this stage what shows are down to come in next year.

I know she's no great shakes as an actress but La Knight would be a smashing Eva Peron. Can you imagine her belting out 'Buenos Aires' or 'Rainbow High'? Oh my giddy aunts!

Beverley hinted that it would be next year so unlikely to be Evita.

Beverley as Eva would be totally colour blind casting, she could belt out the songs, not sure how she'd look in the classic Eva wig.

Although I'd like to see her rocking the 'fro that she wore for 'Sylvia'. It's not like 'Evita' is an entirely true version of Eva P.

I didn't see Beverley in Sylvia so cannot really comment on her hairstyle in that. I now have visions of the classic Evita outline with a Jackson 5 era Afro. It would certainly cause some talking and no doubt the PC brigade would moan and heaven knows what the good Lord ALW would say.

Eva has the 'fro all big and bouncy while she's "actress Eva" working her way up through Buenos Aires society and then she gets a nice sleek do for when she's "political Eva". The naysayers would choke on their racism once they heard La Knight belting out those numbers. I ask yet again, why am I not running London's glitzy West End? Oh and The Lord won't care once he sees the money keep rollin' in. I thank you. P.S. I'm not sure Aaron Burr was black but Leslie Odom Jr. certainly looked black to me and that didn't affect 'Hamilton'.

I've just been looking at the brochure of my local concert venue, and Beverley Knight will be visiting in October singing 'The Songs of Stevie Wonder'.
Although we're very special here in Yorkshire, I can't imagine it's a one off!

^Yes,Tall Paul I think it’s touring and is on at the Bham Symphony Hall at some point,I think. A quick BK story if you will indulge me.Saw her in The Bodyguard in the WE on front row and my eleven-year old was on her feet like greased lightning at the end for a SO.I turned around to see nobody else was on their feet in the stalls,so I leapt up for mutual support.BK waved to my daughter and blew her a kiss. What a voice,BK has! Also fab-u-lous at the stage door!

I see in my TV guide that BK is a guest on Sara Cox's ITV show tomorrow morning. Perhaps there be tour news, or maybe even a sneek preview of something by Steve!

Sylvia is coming back to the Old Vic next year, so I'd assume she's doing that again?

Every time I see the poster for the Stevie Wonder gig, I get annoyed. The text layout is very very sneaky The Songs of starring Stevie Wonder Beverley KnightI can't quite capture it on here - but it looks like they are promoting it as starring Stevie Wonder. It takes several glances to parse the reality of it
Not her fault, obviously, but it feels like an attempt to confuse if not deceive to me. It is one thing to be clever with your poster design and another to take it too far - having starring and Stevie Wonder on the same line is just wrong

It's most odd - some venues (inc ATG ones) use the strange billing which you've mentioned - while others (Palladium/Sage) use a completely different one which is far less ambiguous.

The ATG one is bang out of order - it can only be an attempt to deceive at worst or to confuse at best. Neither of which is a good look - thanks to princeton for finding the images

Her version of Memory is thrilling. I bought the 25th anniversary concert CD (wish I'd gone to the gig!)

I saw her live in concert a few years ago when she came to Northampton, she was absolutely knock-out. Such power and not a duff note to be heard all night 😀

Saw Beverley in her 50th birthday concert tour at the Liverpool Philharmonic on Thursday. Despite the bad weather, a brilliant evening seeing her on stage. A great mix of old and newer songs over 90 minutes and she comes across as a really lovely, down-to-earth lady when she was talking to the audience in between songs. Vocally, wow. I loved her in the Drifters girl and seeing her again a few days ago, she didn't disappoint.

Beverley is a solid gold Yammer (Someone from Wolverhampton). I bought her debut single way back in 1995 she was doing a signing at the local Virgin Records and the queue was small and the record sounded good so I bought a copy on cassette. So when she started to do well it was nice to see. She had a good recording career with chart success and then effortlessly moved into musical theatre and can still fill good sized concert halls with her tours.
