I read 75% too. The last audience restrictions for Tier 1 and Tier 2were 1,000 people or 50% whichever was smaller? The Gillian Lynne holds 1024. 75% wishful thinking? They’ve got their work cut out for them on the tiny entrance, small staircases and single escalator to get in too.

I presume the April/May opening will be put back AGAIN? Surely they need to rehearse for 1/2 months before and that’s sadly not going to happen with a new covid strain. Even if they vaccinate 1 mil a week by April or May that leaves 50 million without protection. I’ve heard rumours of summer or September for shows to reopen now. (Coming from a friend IN a current closed show via producers today) How sad. I admire ALWs optimism , but there is just no way this can open when he plans. No. Way. (Sadly) Agreed. ALW is being overzealous. Come off it now.

Another song from the show on the Elaine Paige show about 45 minutes in. Very very Lloyd Webber with a slight nod here and there to Rodgers. As a singer, his odd vowel sounds are more of a distraction here. Shame as he has some good parts to his voice. I don't think his character is singing to Cinders in this song If we are expected to believe he’s singing this to a female, that’s a big leap of imagination.. his voice is camp as Christmas ! My expectation for the show plummets with every song that’s released. This one is just so booorrrrriinnggg. Makes me glad that at least exciting new musical writing is happening in America.

Has there been any talk on whether the Cinderella character is gay?

Just looked online at seats available and the front section of the stalls has the note "Your ticket to the ball! In this seat you will be moved in more ways than one" - almost sounds like they're trying to replicate when Cats first opened at that theatre and have the revolving auditorium?

Interesting. Seats in that section have also jumped in price by about 25 quid since I got mine!

If it means a return to the good old days, when people dressed for the theatre, I'm all for it. 🙂

Yeah, some other ticket sites have the front stalls listed as revolving seats so I guess they must be being used in that capacity in some way.

Gosh, well this is an exciting development. At least it would be if it ever opens lol.
Not as exciting as putting Cats and John Napier's sets back in and having the revolving Overture. But exciting none the less.

At least if it changes date again I can cancel my seats and change for moving ones, then if it’s awful I’ll have had a fairground ride first.

I've never heard of a revolving seat! Is it literally a seat that revolves? I have visions of wine glasses etc being kicked over as people start moving without being ready!

I have visions of wine glasses etc being kicked over as people start moving without being ready! the seat itself doesn't rotate the whole section of seating does, so whoever is sitting in the front section facing the stage will at some point rotate with the stage to actually end up being at the back of the stage facing the auditorium.

Hahaha, that makes a lot more sense! I had visions of a tea cups fairground ride style theatre experience!

I remember having a revolve seat when it opened. It was very exciting and to add to the excitement Paul Nicholas sat on my lap.

The prospect of sitting on the revolve again is more exciting to me than seeing Cinderella.

The prospect of sitting on the revolve again is more exciting to me than seeing Cinderella. Lloyd Webber really does like us to hum the scenery... If Only Stephen Ward had a chandelier

Does that mean the album release will be put back do you think? I really want to hear the 'proper' version of Far Too Late. And everything else!

And Ruthie is on the recording?! a I think she might be as Broadway world confirmed her name. although I think that might be meaning She is playing the role of the Queen on the show as Call the Midwife Star Helen George sang the Queen’s Songs on the Soundtrack!

I thought Ruthie did the workshops, but when she wasn't on the album I presumed she wasn't doing the show? I suppose there have been a lot of delays and possible changes though.
I'm the meantime, what's that picture they've posted on instagram?! I'd prefer teaser shots of sets or costumes or something. These releases just confuse me... Is somebody splitting up with Cinders?
