I'm a student so I don't have much money. This price reduction means I can treat my family! Can't wait to see their faces when they are being spun around at 200mph by ALW !

It's sort of absurd to have the entire section hovering around £100. The stage is so high that front row isn't great, and the seats at the sides just are not equal to the view from the centre. I'm hoping they start to bring the prices down if they're not selling as well as they hoped, because it is a lot of fun. £19.50 was definitely an opportunity not to be missed..!

Has anyone experienced the front row side section? I did third row, right over to the left. Would definitely recommend being a few rows back. The seats are higher than the stage at that point so you're not straining your neck. I didn't mind the side view at all, I felt like I still saw everything perfectly fine and I didn't pay much. But if it's all the same price, go as central as possible.

Do those seats have seat belts? 😀 I am not too jealous as I sat in one of those seats when I saw the original cast of Cats probably before you were even born.

Was it worth being in the ball section? Honestly I kind of loved it. It felt really special and I was gutted to think I'd never be able to afford to sit in those seats again, since they are all so expensive after opening night. Very glad I going to manage to sneak in another visit before I'm priced out :')

I snagged one of the single seats at the back of the side sections - still ball seats but on row G. Nobody either side of me and what looks like a decent rake, so hopefully a good view.

Really looking forward to listening to the cast album when it finally releases this Friday, although it sounds like the show has changed a lot since that was recorded all that time ago so it will be interesting to compare the differences between the cast recording and what's going on in the previews right now.

Oh not this again from musicalmarge? Actually Miss thing. I said nothing. Check the messages. Actually It was the random post before that came from NOWHERE commenting on a rational post I made 12 pages ago saying that the three couples in this show are all mixed race coupling which seems to be the only way to cast now. It’s a fact! Frozen is next. I’m very much aware that debating race in casting is a very delicate subject. I said above I apologise if anyone has ever been upset by my honesty at pointing out unbalanced casting or demographics. Moving on. Can we talk about the terrible score again? Or cheap seats already on sale?

Firstly thanks to those who answered about the "timed entry" slots; it was in fact pretty much "business as usual" and there was no need to be seated 30 minutes before the performance started. I felt rather sorry for the FOH staff who have clearly been told to direct the audience to their seats which caused a slight issue at the interval after collecting drinks. I found the show to be OK (is that damning it?) and of course it was great to see some live theatre again. CHF has a rather strange on stage persona; no warmth or charisma (and she shouted her first number) and likewise the boy playing the prince who is just so very inexperienced (not his fault at all but I question those who cast him) meaning they are just "there". It is left to supporting characters to provide the backbone and although I found VHB's take rather strange (all facial ticks and vocal inflections via Tammy Grimes, Joan Greenwood and Fenella Fielding), the duet with Ms Trehearn was the highlight for me. Aside from the obvious pleasure, I found the bare-chested boys somewhat gratuitous (can you imagine comments if we had skimpily dressed girls?) and the choreography, particularly in the ball scene, not good. It was fun to be in the revolve though. Yes, the book is problematic (Prince Charming's appearance, Fairy Godmother as plastic surgeon, the false ending) but there it is. 3 stars.

Just saw on Apple Music that they now have the full song list for the cast recording along with some of the singers. Notably Helen George and Adam Lambert are featured.

Based on where The Vanquishing of the Three-Headed Sea Witch fell in the show, I'm guessing it was a Prince Charming song where he recounted what happened while he was away? Maybe they even let the Duke have a line... I feel so bad for that guy, on stage for a decent chunk of time with absolutely nothing to say and no actual name :')

Just noticed the song list in Apple Music that there's a "Only You, Lonely You"- US Single version featuring (have no idea who this is, and sorry if that makes me completely clueless ) Todrick Hall

Todrick Hall - American rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, director, choreographer and YouTuber, made it to the latter rounds of a series of American Idol. Known here as a judge/mentor on the dance show 'The Greatest Dancer' (sadly axed after two series). During lockdown he did a version of one of my least favourite ALW songs (when out of context) 'No Matter What', and really made something soulful from it, changing my view entirely - strongly tied to #globalpride June 2020. It was in the ALW online lockdown entertainments. www.youtube.com/results?search_query=todrick+hall+no+matter+what

Unless its a song that was cut i can't imagine what Adam Lambert is singing It looks like he is Prince Charming on the cast recording. Thinking about it, if Prince Charming had been played as an Adam Lambert type character, with a leather type of outfit, some eyeliner, and that same type of presence and swagger, that would have really worked. Maybe in the next version of the show.
