Anyone having an issue booking? I keep getting an error message - something along the lines of ‘the address cannot be doubled’.

Ok look at 1.21 and see the seating layout and turntable
My guess is that the WHOLE From section rotates with the stage and ends up FACING the audience.
ALW always wanted to use the auditorium revolve in cats but never did fully apart from the start. This way the audience in the stalls move to that stage position. You can see the metal railings/guards.
Thoughts?

Slightly confused as to why they’re all wearing masks OUTside, but inside it’s masks off and lots of guffawing in each others faces?
Anyway, nice to see things underway, including cringey “introduce yourself to the rest of the cast” moment... “I’m Carrie and I’m playing Cinderella *giggle*” 😖
ALW asking Ivano Turco if he’s learned it.... 🙄

Maybe hire one of the students from arts ed, Mountview or Guildford who would have learned the lines before even getting the part.

It could simply be the case that these actors were cast because they were deemed the best for the part and just happened to be black? Just a thought.

I think in this case that if one of them is black it's probably easier for the audience to follow if they both are.
I think colour-blind casting is fine for most things, but I think in a. a new musical where people don't really know the story, and b. it sounds like the Princes will be being directly compared (stepping into his shoes etc.) it makes more sense for them to at least vaguely look like they could be related.
For that reason, I'd happily go with two Princes of any ethnic background that look like they could feasibly be brothers.

Yes, they've added Caleb Roberts on the cast page on the website, but not Rodney Vubya. God knows they weren't announced last week with that rest of the cast 🤷 They've added him now, but in the wrong place. They've just stuck him on the end of the alphabetically-ordered ensemble. Get it together website people.  |

As badly judged as they are, those videos of ALW awkwardly trying to be funny with the cast actually make me want to see this. I’ve never been to this theatre, so I’m intrigued by the revolving seating for this. There’s some information here www.arthurlloyd.co.uk/GillianLynneTheatre.htm that says it takes 4 minutes to revolve, then rises up to create a rake. I can’t make my mind up if it sounds really cool, or like a daft gimmick. Either way it must be incredibly distracting. |

I just bought 3 preview seats on the revolve just for fun and don't care whether the actors are black, white or "sky-blue pink with yellow dots" as my grandma used to say.
In 2021 we surely must be able to see beyond colour, race, sexuality etc.

At least its the guy who is playing the role, not a picture of Tom Cruise. (because he watched ‘Top Gun once). They are normally that tenuous.

It'll be interesting to see when the cast album comes out how many of this cast are actually on it, and how many tracks were recorded by somebody else.
I've seen it being marketed as a "original cast and celebrity guests" (or something like that).
