This sort of behaviour would easily get back to ALW and this easily to other major producers. Surely the Company manager or resident director should step in and say something. Or at least leave it to the last week.

You just don’t talk in the wings. If you talk above a whisper you will be heard. Primary school play backstage behaviour 101 Can’t believe they ‘wouldn’t realise this’ From some of the SoMe posts some of them are probably having celebrations back there that it’s closing. Write to the company manager. You might get your money back, if enough of you do it you might be successful and hopefully save the last few future audience members the same behaviour. However From the sounds though it sounds like they lost control of this cast a while back. I agree, it is totally unprofessional and something that could definitely result in a verbal warning in other companies. I suppose I was just trying to diplomatic and see it from the cast perspective, as I hate to look like someone who is constantly criticising other performers. If I'm being completely honest though, I know for certain it was Carrie chatting as I could hear her entire conversation about the wooden log prop, before coming out with it in the next scene. I was literally in the furthest possible seat to the left though which touches the wall and is just in front of the wings, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt because I quite like her (Even though I find her snarky responses to fans who are just trying to be nice on SM recently really off putting). This was also the same night that I could see into the right side wings though and witnessed Carrie bending Ivano over and dry humping him...so I left the show feeling like it was all a bit unprofessional, and that was long before the closure notice. How unprofessional! Not a good look for miss CHF. Its completely unprofessional that almost the whole cast have suddenly developed a DGAF attitude towards the show. I wouldn't hire any of them if I heard or even witnessed this unprofessional behaviour.

If she gets another gig as a leading lady (and that seems questionable based on this experience) she’d do well to skip the cherry cokes and fridge full of chocolate, the book lending service and the donuts for FOH. Instead she might focus on setting an professional example to other cast members. That’s what being the lead is all about isn’t it? I do think there needs to be a balance as you don't want your place of work to be dull and boring but I agree to an extent that perhaps she needs to cut back on the excess for future roles.

Sadly she will due to her youtube following (although her engagement is appaling so employers may cotton on eventually) and famous brother. Anyone else wouldn't get away with it. Her voice is/was pleasant enough but her lack of training in acting really shows and usually just ends up giving the same facial expression, or 'the face' as I've seen its become known as.

None of it seems to be harming her employability, though, does it? She's been cast in Treason and Witches already. Or perhaps she's seen as a good bet for concerts but not a longer run now? Time will tell I suppose, I certainly will continue to avoid paying to see her in future - I had been doing so before Cinderella (and mostly managed to avoid her in this and see the excellent Georgina instead) and nothing I have seen has changed my mind (quite the opposite).

After the WEL debacle didn’t she say something about not liking concert or one-off performances? Since then she’s booked for concert tour and two concert musicals!

I think it's only a matter of days before someone posts "I saw Goody Fletcher with the devil" I don't think anyone on this thread is being particularly nasty about Carrie tbh, we're just people who have the show and so happened to hear her talking in the wings or dry humping a cast mate. I don't think it's unreasonable to chat about our experiences of seeing the show in it's thread. For what it's worth, I'm seeing Carrie in the role again before it closes as I think she's actually pretty good in it.

I thought the Crucible joke was funny and also reference to her doing WoE. I don't see it as anti CHF and we give her a fair hearing on here. With all her projects she probably has far less to worry about as regards future work, income streams and accumulated wealth than some of her co-stars who have been sounding off.
Whether she is your taste or not she is a known leading lady with a fan base and will always get offered roles. I hear Moma Morton is available at the moment so if she has a black trouser suit she could go into that.

Whoops...I think I need to get more sleep at night as the Crucible joke went totally over my head the first time I read this - Apologies! Also I literally just laughed out loud at that last part!

Hi, I'm an occasional lurker on the musical theatre threads.
This talk of overhearing Carrie talking loudly in the wings reminded me of when I saw the Les Mis Staged Concert in December 2020 (I was lucky to be at one of the few performances they did before London was put into Tier 4 and theatres closed again).
Anyway, during John Owen Jones' Bring Him Home, Carrie held a whispered conversation with another cast member on stage! She was sitting on stage with the rest of the ensemble and I saw her lean forward to talk to whoever it was sitting in front of her. Obviously the lights were low and she probably thought she wouldn't be seen, but I certainly noticed.

I’m sure it must have been something very important. “Yeh, I’ve got Twix, Bounty, Mars and loads of coke, Cherry or full fat” “Have you not got anything proper like a sandwich or something?” “Boundaries!”

I hope for her sake that she was alerting them to something serious, but even then it's unacceptable. Sorry if this is controversial, but I felt that Carrie's Fantine wasn't great in general. I didn't feel that she fully grasped the emotion of the part and vocally the score wasn't really suited to her in my opinion. She definitely shines in more comedic, fun roles, rather than more serious acting parts. Her Eponine was obviously great though.

I really liked her Eponine a lot, I had her pegged as a break out star at that point.
I've hated her performances in everything since.

I thought she was great in Heathers, but have since seen Ailsa and she was just so much better - she’s definitely a break out star in my opinion! To be fair I think she’s good in Cinderella, she does her best with a flawed book.

And I don't like *her*. I'm at the stage where I will actively avoid seeing her.
