That Victoria Hamilton-Barritt video... I don't think she was saying "yeah, it's a crap situation, but these things happen" - she literally says she still likes ALW and that we don't know the whole story... I actually thought it was implying that her fellow cast members have maybe been a bit... "sentimental" (and OTT) about the whole thing.

To be perfectly honest, I went to an evening performance where the alternative Cinderella was planned to be on. I don't understand why ALW doesn't just use the inevitable clause in their contract about bringing their "employers into dispute" and get rid of these idiots. There are many swings who I'm sure would love to step up.
I know people keep ranting that "this industry is different", but there is no way that the theatre industry allows/tolerates moronic posts like the above, WHILST HE IS STILL IN THE SHOW?!??!

Is it that bad though? All he’s saying is he wouldn’t work for ALW again. The thirst trap photo shouldn’t be an issue considering a large part of the show’s advertising has been based around showing the guys’ bodies off.

First Rodney dancing in just his pants now Tobias in socks and jock strap. Is this a last ditch advert for another job before they close Cinderella. I bet some of the parents of the kids following the show are relieved. If the terrible marketing didn’t know whether this was a pantomime, kids show or naughty pastiche. Think the cast have decided.
Andrew must be happy the whole thing is coming to an end.

Since when did so-called professionals openly slag off their employer/product they are representing publicly on social media, with accompanying picture of them mostly naked apropos of nothing. Absolutely embarrassing. Be honest, you wouldn't touch these performers with a barge pole. Unprofessional, egotistical and fully deserving of being slagged off. These are posts from public social media, used explicitly (in every sense) to advertise and promote their "brand". A brand definitely not coming to a West End stage near you ever again. |

That's not really what was said though, is it? The issue with how employable they might be in future was directly to do with the attitude and disrespectful nature of the posts. The half naked photos to go with them just add to the whole picture. I couldn't really give a stuff if performers want to pose in their pants on Insta or not personally, but it does paint a picture in conjunction with the content of the post, of some silly attention seeking going on. But a lovely bendy semi-nude pants pic (can't believe I'm typing that) with a caption on how grateful they felt for the opportunity they've had, for example, wouldn't raise an eyebrow from me.

And shading the boss even accompanied by a lovely attention seeking photo is never acceptable. We have only heard the side of the cast.
