I'll pop this in the Performers section if it's about Carrie specifically.

Carrie has said pretty much that she's done with Les Mis-having been in it for nearly 3 years it's not surprising! She's doing the Chitty Tour next, which is great to see her developing to leading roles. I'm sure we'll see her in London again but probably not in Les Mis

Unfortunately never got round to seeing Carrie in Les Mis. Three years my friend and I kept saying "we must go see Les Mis" but we never got round to it! So we were thrilled when we heard she was going to be taking on the role of Truly in Chitty, because we already had our tickets booked to see it in Milton Keynes which is her first venue on the tour!

How long is she staying with Chitty?
I saw Les Mis a year ago so imagine I would have seen her in that but I can't say she registered really... Sorry! I'm seeing Chitty in December though.

The Cardiff stop is the last one she's doing so October I think?

The Cardiff stop is the last one she's doing so October I think? The Cardiff dates are in August, but you're right she's staying until October (the 2nd from memory) - Northampton her final venue.

I loved her in Les Mis, saw her twice, at the beginning and end of her run and she really was stellar!

Not sure who changed the subject, but it's Carrie *Hope* Fletcher, so it would be polite to at least add her missing name back in.

Having enough shows lined up to get them muddled is the happiest of confusions (as long as you unmuddle sufficiently to turn up right place right time!)

Why don't you say what you really think and not sit on the fence....
Re the Stage Door thing, I would think actors would be MORE likely to Stage Door on tour than at home. At home they probably have a long commute out of London, the crowds for Les Mis are usually very large I imagine (usually on tour you get a few here and there....) and you are not going back to your house, you are going back to impersonal digs or a cheap hotel.

Thats shocking. Equally shocking is her desire to share the information. How she knows it belongs to that person concerns me a little. I assume shes just taking his word for it

Hope she hauls him into court. The Protection from Harassment Act 1997 should cover it.
I remember back in the early days of the WOS forum, not long after I became a moderator, someone thought it would be funny to post shock images (goatse) on the forum. I still recall the moment of puzzlement and followed by the disgusted realisation of what it is you're looking at. Some people dismiss it as "it's only a picture; you can delete it", but the feeling of violation resulting from the knowledge that someone thought it would be OK to do that to you doesn't disappear so quickly.

She definitely should push it as far as she needs to. Nobody in the public eye or otherwise should have to put up with that kind of thing

This thread is quite inactive, but in a liveshow Carrie said that she got the part of Nancy in Oliver but turned it down because Truly in Chitty was a longer run. The liveshow is called 'Farewell London' I believe, it's on her second YouTube channel.

It is super creepy and disturbing but it's worth pointing out that actually getting sent dick-pics (such a charming expression) is not the persevere of the 'famous' any woman who dares to be on a dating app or even any kind of social media is 'lucky' if no dick sends her a picture of his.
BUT I really hope she at least reports the user to the app (I don't use Snapchat so not sure how one does that)and that she had security with her that night. I do however think it's good that she shared it on social media because actually women are somehow expected to just sort of put up with this nonsense. So I'm glad she 'called it out' as it were.
Carrie's Stage Door Dramas (real and imagined) aside I'm very much looking forward to seeing her in The Adams Family this week. I went to Chitty to see her (I do like her very much as a performer) and it was 10 kinds of torture, this however seems much more up my street.

She shared the picture on social media? Or just the story?

Carrie said that she got the part of Nancy in Oliver but turned it down because Truly in Chitty was a longer run. That's very professional of her. Not! Rampant egotist.

Somebody in the chat mentioned it, Scott Paige who she was with said she'd be good in the role, she said quite quickly that she'd got it, explained the situation and moved on. It's not like she made a whole video on it.

It's not like she made a whole video on it. Yeah I don't think it's 'unprofessional' in the context of being asked a question. It's a) pragmatism (a longer run) b) she really wanted to do Chitty having done it as a kid. As you say it's not like she made a video announcing it!

It is really though. She could have just acknowledged that'd she'd love to play the role and move on. Rather than mention that her casting was preferable to the person who ended up getting the part.

Yeah, I expect she didn't mean to sound braggy, but it does come off that way if you don't hedge around with a more non-committal "well Nancy was a possibility for a while but ultimately Truly happened". Which of us ever has the best-phrased answer up their sleeve at the point of being asked a question though?
