Does seem weirdly coincidental timing so maybe it has changed to the Fortune! According to that veritable font of information known as Twitter, Operation Mincemeat starts previews there on 29th March. We shall see, I suppose.

Most mentions of the fortune theatre as replies on their twitter have been removed. I think its hard to deny at this point!

I wouldn't be surprised if the producers of Operation Mincemeat were going to a different theatre but then the Fortune was offered to them by ATG.

I honestly don't think the fortune would be anyone's first choice All I’ll say is the gents toilets are the worst of any West End theatre I’ve been in. That said, with 432 seats, it’s small enough that it allows a show like this to have a West End run. The theatre community have embraced it already, the question will be if it can attract a more mainstream crowd.

I hope so, maybe it'll also steal the school trips that were attracted to the theatre by Woman In Black! Its definitely a nice size for them and really hope the show thrives. I can see it going either way, just wish they had time to renovate that theatre first.

Even if Operation Mincemeat doesn't end up running for years, the Fortune becoming free means a lot of smaller shows can come in now, not that they was limited choice as the Ambassadors is similar in capacity.

Yes - plus TWIB can always come back once the tourist trade picks up. In the meantime, there's a veritable treasure trove of shows that would thrive in a 400-seat WE space. Might be a good one for Almeida shows to transfer into if DOY is busy.

Tweet has been deleted, what was it? Ah. It was one of the larger West End PR guys saying that this going into the Fortune was the 'worst kept secret in the WE' with a couple of promo images for the Nov 18 announcement.

ATG clearly have no tears for The Woman in Black closing if they've moved on onto the next show for the Fortune already.

It's going to be so strange seeing a new show at the Fortune Theatre but also exciting at the same time.

It’s on the ATG webpage for The Fortune, and apparently goes onsale in 5 minutes.

Does anyone understand this pricing structure at all or am I just going mad?? Why is the entire theatre £80 for Friday nights and Saturdays?

Each performance seems to be one price wherever you sit Which is a nice deal for the stalls for £35, but utterly mad to even consider buying a £80 upper circle ticket. It feels like someone's made a mistake, but also I have absolutely no idea how that mistake would happen so I assume that's not the case... Will be interesting to see if prices change.

Am I the only person that found this really indulgent and self knowing. Plus it was obvious half the cast were the writers as opposed the best actual performers for the roles? In the hands of experienced musical theatre performers and a director who could prune it down then maybe.
For me I felt like I was on the outside of a end of year BTEC Performing Arts Course show

Probably one of the best musicals I've seen in recent years. Can't wait to watch this talented cast absolutely smash it once again. Ticket booked!
I really hope they release a soundtrack with this run.
The weekend prices after previews are really not great. I can imagine these definitely being lowered soon.
I do wonder if they've upgraded the set for a West End Stage and if they'll change a few things during the preview period.

Am I the only person that found this really indulgent and self knowing I saw it at Southwark Playhouse in January this year and although I liked it, I didn't think it was anywhere near the raving adoring reviews other people seem to have come out with. I agree that I thought it was quite self indulgent and very wink wink nudge nudge in terms of direction if that makes any sense.

I'm completely baffled that this is still on sale at only one price bracket per performance... Are we never going to get a sensible pricing structure??

No we aren't.
One price for previews. One price for post press night.
You can tell a stand up comedy promotor is the main producer can't you...

Almost £80 for an upper circle ticket is surely never going to sell? It's absurd. No one in their right mind would or should pay that. I love this show, but christ!
