I watched the film for the first time in years last night. If this is done well, it’s going to be incredible. Hope it makes full use of the Dominion stage. I find this even more exciting than the revival of Mary Poppins or hairspray! Finally some original work! (Even though based off the movie) this is will be fully fledged musical which hopefully won’t rely on celeb casting or Michael ball lol. There’s s massive cult following behind this, I told some mates up in provincial Lancashire on a trip last week and they nearly wet themselves. Everyone just wants to hear deliver us!! Will this be in time for the Oliviers 2020? Would make very interesting year!? Best new musical- Dear Evan Hansen Prince of Egypt ...:what else

It’s right on the border of whether or not it will fall into this years eligibility. I would think it will and that’s probably why the producers have chosen that opening date.
Peter Polycarpou as Jethro anyone?

On sale today.
Pricing reasonable at a first glance, £69.50 for majority of stalls during previews, increasing to £75.00 and £79.50 after press night. Stalls Row D is closest to stage available at present and will probably sell fast @ £69.50 as rows E and F are a whopping £139.50.
I'm in two minds whether to grab a row D seat now or wait in the hope that A-C will be added later. Any thoughts ?

Maybe A-C will be dayseats/lottery/whatever?
They didn't need to tear out rows for Bat's incredible stage set, so I don't see any reason why the rows would need to go for Prince of Egypt. I also don't think this will be selling out quickly, so personally I'd wait for both Rows A-C to appear more cheaply, for dayseats to be announced and generally for the ludicrous premium seats to start discounting.

Good advice. However I've booked centre aisle seat D22 at a preview for just £65 and one of my family will take that seat if I can get the front row later.
The back three rows of the stalls and circle are also modestly priced at between £19.50 and £29.50.

I am not familiar with the movie what part will Carrie H Fletcher get?
Actually any casting thoughts (though I still think Carrie will be in it).

Casting is a tough one...I thought perhaps someone like Sabrina Aloueche or Blythe Jandoo for Tzipporah and Maiya Quansah-Breed for Miriam perhaps?

Ramin has aged out of the part. Moses and Ramses.will be played by younger men who deal with pressures of leading their own people. Basically both of them will be adulting throughout the evening and each becoming his own man.

Baz was shooting from the hip about the Prince of Egypt today. He comments how "hardly anyone knows... and fewer seem to care" that the musical is opening in London next year, claims that "it's not making much headway at the box office", and reveals that "Friends who saw it told me they'd rather spend three hours in an Egyptian sand storm than sit through it again." Ouch. It's the second article on the page at www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-7215297/BAZ-BAMIGBOYE-Stephen-Sondheims-lights-West-End.html.

I wonder if he'd be saying the same if he'd been given the exclusive? Or waxing lyrical about it at every opportunity?
I have started to see him in a different light recently unfortunately.

He's a hack and a mouthpiece for favoured producers. Nothing new there.

I have a sneaky suspicion that it’s made ‘worth his while’ to talk favourably about certain shows. I find it odd how every Now and again- the current Joseph for example, he won’t stop banging on about how amazing it all is, week after week. He seems to have a very good ‘relationship’ with those producers.

Minor heart attack. So glad Liam is finally getting a proper big break. Is there much loincloth action in this?
Dang, I wanted to sulk and avoid the Dominion for at least another year, but I sense another bunch of front row bookings in my near future...

So casting anyone remotely brown, Indian, mixed race or African passes for Egyptian, Palestinian/Israeli now? The hypocrisy from the performing arts industry is staggering...

I wasn't majorly impressed by Luke Brady's voice in Sweeney Todd, but I'm very excited for Liam

Wasn't expecting this strong of a cast; looking forward to see who's in the supporting cast.
