Surely they sort rights issues out before going to the cost & inconvenience of filming it?

And quite often the double sided sticky tap is faulty... Or Flints mess up your order and send you a double sided cassette tape of “Sticky” by Drake or something. But you make the most of it and a cut show goes up.

I would estimate 80% of the shows that have done proshots will never see the light of day tbh

19.99 top seat in Bristol. Prices seem to vary a fair bit but still bargain compared to London trip and west end prices. Cinema is showing a 2.48 run time so presumably they will have mini intermission. See if it gets a streaming/dvd release in time for Christmas.

Just £12.55 for Inside members at Coventry Showcase this Sunday. Only eight seats left, and six of those are on the extremes of the front row which give an appalling view.

Cinema interval but they haven't put the lights back on so it's pitch dark apart from the odd mobile glow. Enjoying it, didn't see it live but looks a very clever mix of video and old fashion staging and seemly a large cast, must have looked impressive on the wide dominion theatre.

It was a great show - perfect for the Dominion. The recording has done it justice (once my cinema set up the sound properly)!

Really enjoyed seeing this again tonight on the big screen. They did a great job capturing it. Only thing that doesn't transfer well is the 'wow' factor of certain moments, which is understandable as the Dominion has such a big stage and they used the walls really well in the big set piece moments.
It's on again on Sunday if anyone is at a loose end. I went to this a LOT while it was on, this certainly does it some justice.

Noticed in the Musicalcon Guide for this year there's an ad for the cinema release on sunday, but it also mentions that it's available on Digital December 4th.

May have to order the blu ray of this via amazon.co.uk since it's listed as "Region Free" and is currently not available on Amazon in the US.

Thanks for this. I didn't get to see this live, and was away when it was shown in the cinema, so thought I'd have to wait for the DVD. Much quicker and cheaper to stream. Overall I found it dragged a bit, and the first half in particular could have been shorter. Maybe that was because I was watching on a small screen rather than "in the flesh" though. I liked the effects of using the cast to represent the environment, e.g. the river and the bush, and I loved how they went through the Red Sea. I'm glad I've seen it, but don't think I'd be bothered about seeing it again in the theatre, unless there was a particular cast member I wanted to see.

I just watched the dvd and although I loved the original movie, I was a bit underwhelmed by this.
The tone at the start is a bit all over the place, too jokey. But once Moses learns who he is it does improve.
The cast is a mixed bag. Luke Brady is very good, as is Alexia Khadime. But Liam Tamne just lacks the gravitas, and his acting is one note throughout.
Sets and costumes are hit and miss. There's too much interpretative dance for my taste. But some of the use of the ensemble is effective, especially the red sea.
The new songs don't match the strength and power of the originals (the chariot one is especially cringe). But the original songs sound great.
I still think this could be a great musical, but this production isn't it.
