Jodie Prenger was terrific in Oxford. It's a Michael Harrison production and he's got at least 2 other major productions looking for a West End house later in the year so if Annie can run through to September or even January he has shows he will no doubt be looking to bring in to town once Annie has run it's limited engagement. Oh interesting, may I ask what are the two? Addams Family? I presume Young Frakenstein is one. He's not producing Addams Family

Who's casting this? Is it same cast as Tour? I imagine some of the cast will be the same but I won't be surprised if its all new people either. The tour finished last year and the production moved to South Africa for a couple of months with all different cast so its not as if its an instant transition from UK Touring into the venue. I would like to see the same man play Oliver Warbucks. His name slips my mind but he was great!

Definitely will be booking for this, provided that it's not too expensive. Annie has never really had massive appeal for me, so Miranda is the hook in this case.

Awww I like this news, and a good chunk of a run rather than a small one.

Makes so much sense doing a Sunday show instead of mid week considering family is their demographic

Can't work out how a "Half Price child" ticket is £46 when full price is £69 - that's definitely not half price! Anyway got my £20 seat for the first performance

It was my first West End show (under my own steam, anyway) way back in 1981! Booked for a trip down memory lane

She looks more like Millie Dillmount than the drunken, child-hating Miss Hannigan. Hope it's not a guide to the performance!

I'm throughly looking forward to this now that it's official! I've only ever seen it on Tour, last year and about 10 years ago. I also have a dodgy video of it from Broadway.
It's by no means a favourite show but it's a reminiscing thing for me, I adored the movie as a child too. I also love Miranda and I said previously, shes 6ft1 and with heels on she will be at least 6ft4 or 5. That will be hilarious to see her towering over the 4ft little girls.
I'll be booking during the general sale tomorrow, hopefully I'll get a ticket for the first date.

I will book largely for Miranda Hart. Not keen on the show but partner and daughter both love Annie so a nice family theatre trip is a good plan

I have a feeling she will be terrible in this. She isn't a good actress and can only really play herself. I do hope she proves me wrong though, and it's nice to have this show back in London- I hope the replacement for her is decent. I think Sarah Lancashire would be sensational, not that she'd do it though of course,

I think Sarah Lancashire would be sensational, not that she'd do it though of course, Sarah would be amazing but I too doubt she'd do it. The last musical she did was Betty Blue Eyes and since then her profile has gone up due to her in dramas like Happy Valley and winning lots of awards so I doubt she'd play Miss Hannigan anytime soon, although it would be great.

I've booked. I've never seen a professional production of Annie before so it seems the right time to do so. Very back row of the top level but checked it out on Theatre Monkey and Seatplan and am happy with it. Still not sure about the casting but I'll find out!

It has sold amazingly fast, I noticed just now. Family show with quite a well known celebrity in the main role. Lots of families will be there - it sold well on tour too

It has sold amazingly fast, I noticed just now. My back row was out of choice, didn't want to spend a lot of money on it. Was a bit surprised to be in a queue to book though, but still - like another show - I'll be in the room where it happens
