£288 for stalls (premimum) between Christmas and New Year. Who on earth is paying these prices! Lots of people have the money to pay for such prices - especially those from the city and the corporate world. Same with boxes in football games, expensive hotel rooms and expensive holidays i suppose. Plus its only a small selection of seat in the theatre. Those prices aren't meant to be for the average theatre goer - but premium seats bring great profit and DO sell!

I agree when premium seats came in that's right, but I also think it has slowly pushed up the price of other seats too. Most of the other stalls seats are £225 and £175. Cheapest stalls seat right on the edges are still £115. Even the balcony is £80!

It's fluid pricing and the theatre will try and get as much money as they can. No different than airlines over the festive period. But as well as prices going up they can come down if not selling well. Just a case of keeping check especially if you are flexible

Don't forget the Disney Day Seats, or Magic Mondays, or whatever they're called this week 👍

I know people have had mixed experiences in terms of watching this with a lot of the audience being kids, is there a quieter time in the week to go? (I don't mind the odd interruption due to it having a younger audience, I'm glad they're being introduced to theatre, but if I can go at a quieter time I may as well!)

It's Christmas and NY when people want to treat people and they have money to spend. Of course the prices are going to be more.
If you go to see Frozen at the end of Jan, prices start at £20 and top price is £89. There's no premium either.
Simple supply and demand.

I went to a midweek matinee during school term time and even then the audience was full of kids. It was the noisiest audience I’ve ever been in (even more so than the drunken hen parties at Mamma Mia!) but it didn’t seem to affect my viewing as I sort of expected it.

If anything, I found being around 5 year olds maybe added a little to my experience of the show. I say this as a distinctly childfree adult who finds it challenging to feign any interest in other people’s offspring. But the little girls next to me were so enchanted by the whole thing that their occasional exclamations of joy at what was happening on stage just made the whole thing more charming.

I've seen Frozen 3 times now and each time there were lots of young children there. I didnt have any issues at all and it was so lovely to see the little girls all dressed up on their princess costumes. They do talk and chatter but, to be honest, no worse than the behaviour of adults at many shows. After all its a kids show.

Yeah I had no audience issues at Frozen either. Obviously it was full of families and there was some talking and noises but nothing that disturbed.
By far the worse audiences have been at shows with drunk adults or younger (teens/twenties) theatre fans/drama students who love to show how well they know a show/how much they love it etc

They are so bad I really think they should get lectures on not trying to perform from the audience. Not in terms of Frozen, it was fine when I went too, no real issues and nothing worse than any other show.

Not in terms of Frozen, it was fine when I went too, no real issues and nothing worse than any other show. I got caught up in a group of drama students going around Sainsbury's and they were performing even then! Not even musical theatre students. It must just be a group mentality thing. They're always lovely when you speak to them individually (not that they're not lovely in a group, just it can be a bit overpowering). Has anyone had any luck w Magic Mondays before? Not sure if I book the cheapest seats in advance or try next week for this Yes, but I haven't tried for a while. If you're going on your own (or willing to sit apart from others), I'd definitely go for that route, but the tickets can go quickly. All depends on your risk tolerance. Don't forget you can get TodayTix rush on the day too (£29.50 each).

Not sure if I book the cheapest seats in advance or try next week for this Yep, you've just got to make sure you're on the site at 12 on the dot. I've bagged seat E7 in the royal circle before for £25 with Magic Mondays, normally £70! It'll probably be more difficult to get cheap tickets around Christmas though...and I noticed the cheapest seats way up in the balcony are selling well, not surprising given how expensive tickets are!

Have to say the FOH staff at this theatre are outstanding. I've had reason to write to the management 3 times this year to pass on my thanks to the team when they have helped me.

Well this is just lovely!
For context this little girl went viral earlier this year when she sang Let It Go in a bomb shelter in Ukraine

Random question - How long is Samantha Barks currently scheduled to be in FROZEN for?
Are there any performances she is scheduled to be off?

Random question - How long is Samantha Barks currently scheduled to be in FROZEN for? Are there any performances she is scheduled to be off? As far as I know she's in it till it closes, it got extended to mid October but I'd be very surprised if it closes then, they'll probably extend it again to at least January. And in terms of holidays it's best to keep an eye on Instagram, she posts her upcoming holidays every so often on her Stories 🙂

Went to see this a couple weeks ago. I didn´t love it. Emily Lane was wonderful as Anna. She made the most out of every moment she had onstage. First cover Laura Emmitt was on for Elsa. I really enjoyed her portrayal, but the American accent she´s been told to use makes it slightly caricaturesque, and worsens her otherwise perfect vocals. Djavan Van der Fliert was terrific as Kristoff. He really is a star to be. The rest of the cast and ensemble were great as well. I was expecting a huge spectacular show, and ice castle aside, I found it underwhelming. Some big set pieces plus a ton of projections. The lighting was excellent, but the sound... not so much. I expected much more "oomph" from the orchestra. Some of the new songs work better than others. The Saturday matinée audience was generally well behaved, and the FOH staff were excellent. Three stars for me. An entertaining show with some great moments.

On my way home tonight (from a different show) I noticed that the Frozen posters in the tube say “Prepare To Let It Go”
They may have said they for ages and I’m just noticing, but I’m sure it’s new. Is it a hint?

Pretty sure this has been the style since before christmas, think they were using Prepare to let it go as one of the taglines before it opened too.

Re the performance on Ant and Dec on Saturday, has the full dress change ever been shown on TV before? Usually she's just in the blue dress from the start.
