They were asking to see covid passports/LFT results at Frozen earlier this week - first check before they even let you in the theatre (before bag and ticket check). May have been a random performance, or we may have been randomly selected, though they did seem to be asking everyone, and I don't know what happened if you didn't have any proof. Was the first time in about 20 theatre visits since social distancing was lifted that I've been asked to show proof of testing or vaccination.

I think it could be random as I've been to Frozen twice and neither time was asked. In fact, I've only been asked to show proof once and that was when theatres first reopened. Probably cos I looked old and knackered and they just presume I've had my 2 doses rather than a youngster who might not have had their 2nd one yet.

a youngster who might not have had their 2nd one yet I definitely don't fall into that category being only a handful of years away from getting my free travel card!

I'll add to that list - Hamilton & Cinderella aren't checking either. They definetly checked mine last week in Cinderella

I have been several times to Frozen (I have my reasons:-) I was asked to show the Covid pass once so far at the theatre front door, and once the (much younger) lady in front of me in the queue was asked though I was not (maybe because the very friendly FoH chap saw me fumbling with my phone to get the Covid pass ready - who knows), but the remaining times I have not been asked.
My wife has been more, and has definitely been asked once when I was not with her.

ATG seem to be the ones who (at every venue) are checking. Otherwise its quite hit and miss

Yep, I've been checked every time at every ATG venue I've been to, including on tour. I've also been to Frozen twice - checked the first time, not the second. Tbf, the second time they didn't even check my bag as I was trying to get to the box office to buy a ticket for Danielle's Elsa debut last minute.

My pass was checked at Frozen, Come from away, Prince of Egypt, Cinderella, and Back to Future - and at the last one FOH had stopped a couple who didn’t have them and were explaining that the requirement would have been spelt out when they had bought the tickets, I didn’t see whether they were eventually let in or not. Frozen was easily the worst for mask wearing for what it’s worth…

Tried to get some day seats for this, and they went in a flash. No surprise.
Does anyone know if they release anymore before the midday cut off??
Thanks

Thanks They can release more up until 12 noon if available. Weekends harder to get than midweek. Have a look at the seating plan on LW Theatres and that will give you an idea if there are lots of seats left to sell.

Check again around 11:15 and got two amazing slip seats, called my aunt who they’re both for and she said she couldn’t make it now as her daughters are taking her out. She asked me to try again for her Thursday 🙃 Was very tempted to get them for myself, but I’m working today and tomorrow and don’t want to make myself tired. Will catch it before Xmas I’m sure.

You probably stand a good chance on a Thursday. I got a great stalls seat last Wednesday when it's a bit quieter. Not sure when half term is but that week might be harder.

Half term is next week for some schools, and the week after for others.

Judging by the seat plan there’s plenty of seats, and dynamic pricing in full flow. Some £40 seats which are £90 this weekend.
From today’s experiences I’d say it worth just keep refreshing as loads kept coming up, then going to sold out and vice versa.

Well, that was a lot of fun at the show this afternoon. Getting there early gave me plenty of time to have a nosey around at the refurbished theatre while it was empty and what a great job ALW has done with it. I did spot two videos near the restaurant area which showed how all the work done and was an interesting watch.
For the show itself, we had Danielle Fiamanya on as Elsa and what a star she is. That voice was just gorgeous and in her two big numbers (Let it Go and Monster) were worth the ticket price alone. If you are lucky enough to see her in this role, you will not be disappointed. Based on todays viewing, Danielle is someone who I’ll be looking out for in the future.
The other cast were superb and I couldn’t fault them.
I’m a big fan of a good light show and video screen in shows and for this show, there was certainly plenty to keep me entertained. The whole let it go sequence was stunning and a great Act 1 closing number. On the whole, nice sets (a big Improvement on the Aladdin sets), though I thought maybe the ice bridge was a bit of a let down. I was maybe hoping for something a bit more than what we got.
A great score and the orchestra sounded great today.
In terms of the audience, it wasn’t great to be honest with plenty of chatter between songs, though I’m just glad the parents did keep some control over their kids so I could at least watch the show without too many distractions.
Overall, a nice afternoon of theatre.

I'm keeping my eye out for when Sam is on holiday or got scheduled days off because I really want to see Danielle in the role.

You could message Danielle on either Instagram or Twitter and ask her what her next planned performances are?

Painless experience getting day seats this morning for my aunt and cousin. Straight in at 10am and two great seats in the royal circle. Seats next to them are on sale tomorrow for £89.50.
Incredible steal, will be trying for myself in a few weeks.
Managed to have a snoop around Drury Lane last night and wow 🤩 incredible. Was my favourite theatre before, but it’s stunning now.

Another thing I wasn't happy with was that we bought tickets when they first went up on o2 Priority and had our date changed twice. They were band 4 tickets. The seats LOOKED OK on SeatPlan, but they were restricted view. We paid £69.50 each, but the actual seats sell for £29.50 (£40 loss per ticket) - I didn't even check before hand, only realised once we go to the theatre and noticed how dreadful the seats were. I'm going to email a complaint. TLDR: I bought the tickets during the o2 priority presale pre-Covid and paid £69.50 for each ticket. The seat now sells for £29.50 each and is now advertised as restricted view. For anyone interested in how this turned out, I made a complaint and was told that ticket prices changed... no response to my issue of the seat now being restricted view when it wasn't advertised as such when I bought it. I understand prices can change, but I can't help feeling a little scammed by this! If I'd made the purchase quite recently, I'd probably be more outraged, but because I bought the tickets so long ago, it isn't bothering me too much... but still...

You may be able to take it up with star. As if they sold you restricted view tickets without informing you. Then I think they breeching the code www.star.org.uk/dispute-resolution/

Finally got to see this absolute extravaganza this afternoon! Adored every moment. I didn't get a programme, who is the 1st understudy for Elsa. She was on today and utterly magnificent!

I think that's twice in a row she's done the Sunday matinee now, maybe it's becoming a regular show for her and becoming an alternate situation? I'll keep my eye out for next sunday.

I wish there was a schedule! I'm there Sunday evening and hoping to see her, could go to the matinee too if she'd be on for that (but not the evening).
