The "band" have been saying they're rehearsing but this show doesn't start until September! Seems very early... However maybe not as Take That start their UK tour next month and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they were involved! Ive been thinking much the same. A few appearances in the course of the tour to plug the musical

I think they'll have a regular part in the show.
Around twenty years ago (sorry, I am a major Take That geek) there was a bit in the concert where there was a Take That made up of kids and they had a dance off with the group on stage. I can see them revamping something like that with "the band".

Take That themselves haven't start a rehearsal yet so I doubt The Band is a part of Take That tour. Look like the past 3 weeks of rehearsing is for Sunday workshop to promote the show before a general sale. But I could be wrong.
The early Take That years has a lot of boot camp mentality when it comes to stage shows. So, this maybe a way to prep Five to Five for a real theater performance.

The workshop was yesterday.
TT and the band are randomly filming something in Cannes today. Must be nice.

The WMC'S front webpage has gone a lurid yellow and is promoting this. Nearly burned my retinas out this morning when I casually went over to check dates for something else. At least it doesn't belt out some Gary Barlow when you click on it.

The real reason in fact was colleagues and I were trying to find out why there were dozens of small people dressed as pirates outside there this morning...but that seemed too ridiculous a reason to share.

This has made five million from the first five days of sale! Urgh. I dunno, I mean good for them, its always good to get people into theatre and see actors getting jobs and everything. And no doubt once the tour is over, the boys will probably form a mediocre band and this musical will join the long list of musicals no one will remember in 10 years.

Orrrrrrrr (crazy idea here), we could wait for the show to debut, watch it, and possibly actually like it? Who knows...

Seen on a Take That group (I am a fan, alright! Sorry. Not Sorry.)
However, this kind of stuff makes me cringe!
"So The Band Fans have been in contact with a firm that designs scarves. We have used the colours of The Band Musical logo throughout our scarf to show unity with the musical and support for the boys in 'The Band' and the connection with our Facebook group and twitter name.
These scarves are perfect to wear in the theatre-so the boys can see you in the crowd and identify which group your from.
At the stage doors-for that perfect selfie with the boys. Even out and about when waiting in the cold.
We have seen similar scarfs being a massive success in other groups and other TT related scarves, so we thought it would be nice to show our support too. Proud to say we have some thatters that have placed their order already xx"

Is it safe to assume from this that a cast recording release is on the cards? I would have thought that a cast CD would detract from the inevitable Take That albums on the merch stand.

Well this is hardly selling well! Saturdays close to selling out but mid-week is spars. Palace and Opera House in Manchester off to a stinky start of the season with the loss of BIO and poor sales on this.

The first night is selling very well, purely as people hope Take That will be in watching.
I'm a huge Take That fangirl and have probably seen them in concert more than 40 times, I also love theatre. So this should be something I can't wait to see, right? Its not. The whole thing fills me with dread.
From the off their social media has been off. They embrace the minority of the TT fan base, the "look at me" obsessives that tweet them constantly, rather than the average fan. These favoured minority have been invited to special workshops to give their feedback. They are not theatre fans so I don't understand the reasoning behind it baring wanting to fluff their own egos. I'm sure they'll say "everything is wonderful" which I'm not sure is particularly helpful in the planning process.
I'm going opening night and expecting the audience behaviour to be beyond abysmal, like it is at Take That concerts these days. With the front rows forgetting they are at the theatre and expecting, nay, demanding the personal interaction they feel they deserve.
What the rest of the audience will make of this all I do wonder...

It almost makes you think that it might be a wedding that brings this group of friends back together...maybe 'The Band' will play at the wedding...classic Barlow eh? #nopunchesselfinfaceemojiavailable
