Wow, unexpected but not really! I think once the Broadway production announced it was closing, I thought London was going to follow soon after. Still nine years is nothing to be sniffed at. |

Very sad to hear the show is closing. Seems a shame they didn't try to get it to a milestone 10th birthday, but I guess things aren't that simple. At least there's a tour!

I suspect that another show wants the Piccadilly and Jersey Boys likely hasn't been doing great business hence why it's closing. |

One of the few musicals I've been too ( mainly because I've always loved Four Seasons records ), great back story and fabulous songs.

9 years is a great run. Still sad to see this leave the West End. The show has been quite a big part of my theatregoing life since 2008. I haven't seen it a lot since it moved to the Piccadilly but the few times I did go back I had a great time.

I thought this show was doing good enough to stick around for at least a year or 2 more? Never seen it here as for me ticket prices are a bit too high for something I don't really like. (Saw Jersey Boys 2 times in the Netherlands, which I enjoyed but mainly for the music only..)
But i'm not too gutted. I would love to see Finding Neverland there. (or in any theatre really)
First thought for me was; No more (slightly annoying but hilarious) elder women queing at 4am during West End Live :')

It's had a great run and one of the better "juke box musicals". Good to see a long runner close though as it frees up another theatre.

I am not familiar with Finding Neverland but if it isn't a "hit" and/or has a limited run it will free up the Piccadilly Theatre once again. I know this might be a disaster for producers but for punters like me I like seeing new stuff. I haven't been to the gorgeous theatres The Lyceum or Her Majesties for years!

Looking at tickets for their closing show. Only very few seats left in the Stalls and they are mostly at a whopping £170 or £125 - apart from a couple in the very last row at £65. Same for the Dress Circle. However, second row of the Grand Circle is at an acceptable £50. Anyone ever sat there? How about leg room and view of the stage? Is it too far away? Or would back of Stalls or Dress Circle be the better choice? Ta  |

I'm actually quite sad at this. It's one of the only jukebox musicals that I really like and is a good uplifting show if I want to see something to boost my spirits. It has had a good run though and I think it's going to be on the touring circuit probably for quite some time as it doesn't look like a hard show to tour around.

Having not seen this show for a while, I made a return visit last evening and was really impressed. Lots of energy and the audience for mid week was really 'with it' which the cast clearly bounced off. Shame it's closing ... especially as they've now taken down the scaffolding and hoarding so the Piccadilly looks like a theatre again instead of a demolition site

Tonight was Ben Wheeler's last scheduled Tommy DeVito performance. Really enjoyed watching the show again (this was only my third visit since cast change which for me isn't much). Knowing I won't see Ben's Tommy again feels strange though - he was the first one I saw in the role back in 2008. A great last performance from him today.
It was my second time seeing Matt Corner as Frankie. He is the first since Ryan Molloy who I can truly appreciate in the role. Great voice and the acting is just so well defined.
Also loved Matt Hunt's Nick. And Declan Egen is a good Bob Gaudio (I'm still amazed at how tall he is).
The show is in great shape and since they announced closing ticket sales have been picking up quite a bit. Glad the show seems to be going out on a high.
