Presumably this is going to be in English? With that cast I'm tempted to make a weekend trip!

I may have to force my girlfriend to go see it then! We're seeing the Jean Paul Gautier show for her, so i think she'll have to agree....

Might affect my decision to go if so, although the combination of moderate French ability and having seen the show before means I'd probably be able to follow it anyway. I couldn't see anything on the Theatre Marigny page for Guys and Dolls to confirm which language it is in!

Someone asked them on their Facebook page whether it will be in English and they replied yes, so Clare can put the dictionary away If it had been translated, the posters, website, etc. would also mention a translator which they don't. This is basically a sequel to the previous successful English-language productions at the Châtelet, so I guess they think that people know by now that these classics are done in English.

Those and the other four videos they uploaded were nice to see, thank you. I like France Musique they seem to be good at putting things online, it was great when they streamed "Sunday in the Park with George" on their website.

I saw this last night and I have to say it was one of the best performances of Guys and Dolls I have seen. Chris Howell as Nathan Detroit was excellent. He has a really great singing voice something we never heard in 42nd St. It was odd not to see Claire Halse in Sequins and Tap shoes, but again I was blown away with her soprano singing, something we never got to see in 42nd St. Ria Jones was fabulous and her Hotbox numbers were so good. Her rendition of a Bushel and a Peck had me in stitches. Again Matt Goodgame was excellent as Sky. Another 42nd cast member was Adam denman, this guy can really shake it and again I loved him in “Havana” Big Julie was hilarious. All in all I really enjoyed the show, Stephen Mear has gathered an excellent cast and produced a fabulous show in the beautiful newly renovated Marigny Theatre. If you get a chance to go to Paris certainly put it on your list.
