If it’s true, it might just tempt me to New York next year.

Huh. The wording on the New York Times and Playbill websites is a little bit different and leaves open the possibility that Whishaw won't be starring AS Marilyn Monroe so much as performing a piece ABOUT Marilyn Monroe (and Helen of Troy as depicted by Euripides, I guess), in which, I inferred from the Times and Playbill coverage, he'll serve mainly as a sort-of narrator, maybe also going in and out of character as Monroe herself along with other people (male and female?) who figured in her life. All this, of course, is purely my speculation and is based on almost no information. In any case, it sounds like it could be excellent, a pretentious mess, or something in between, but I'll be there. www.playbill.com/article/ben-whishaw-and-renee-fleming-will-be-part-of-the-sheds-norma-jeane-baker-of-troywww.nytimes.com/2018/03/06/arts/design/the-shed-season-steve-mcqueen-and-quincy-jones.html

Has anyone booked for this yet. My lowest level membership lets me book this evening, but as yet I have no idea what the ticket prices are like.

Booked the $90 tickets. Wasn’t prepared to pay much more than that for a 75 minute production! Hopefully as it’s a new theatre the space will be decent enough that I won’t regret it.
Now I need to know what else is on in early May....

"Booked the $90 tickets."
We paid an admittedly ridiculous $123 a pop, which is perilously close to $2 a minute.

Looking at the seating plan - and considering the size of the venue - I don't see how being 5-8 rows further forward in the $175 seats justifies the extra $85. if there's $85 worth of difference in the experience then that's a pretty badly-designed new venue, frankly!
