I'd already booked for the Vaudeville when The Lowry's email came through announcing Magic Goes Wrong was on priority sale to members. However, the dates in August coincide with when I'm at the Edinburgh Fringe so it's still worked out okay. Envious of those who get a mischievous sneak peak a few months before the rest of us though! Does anyone know how long members get priority booking for at the Lowry before public booking? I'm contemplating finding out where Manchester is...

I’ve emailed the theatre tonight to enquire about ticket prices and booking info. The Quay theatre is the smallest of the two main theatres at the Lowry so all stalls seating gets excellent views.

Does anyone know how long members get priority booking for at the Lowry before public booking? I'm contemplating finding out where Manchester is... Usually 24 hours though there are exceptions. Most weeks it's members' priority on Thursday and general sale Friday so I'd expect public booking to open tomorrow morning from 10am. All stalls seats are £38.50.

2nd row of Grand Circle for £20 couldn't be happier! View looks like it'll be good. I hope Penn and Teller do come over in June/July, always wanted to see them!

Thanks david & stevejohnson678. I'm only prepared to contemplate trekking all the way up to Manchester (about 4h each way) if I can get a decent seat (i.e. front stalls) & as I'd only be able to do a Saturday matinee I'm worrying that all the decent seats might have already gone.

I do like a Sunday matinee!

Now I just have to hope the trains are running that weekend, the fare isn't too ruinous & there's not a heatwave!

Glad you're all sorted! The Quays Theatre at The Lowry is air conditioned so there shouldn't be any issues with heat in the auditorium itself. And there's sometimes open water swimming in Salford Quays if you really need to cool off. 😉

I went to Cardiff to see the end of the MMN tour last July & the only time I was at a comfortable temperature was in the theatre! Trains, Travelodge & outdoors were all horribly hot. Yes, if david or anyone else going would like to meet up then we can PM seat numbers nearer the time. I'm always happy to meet people for some Mischief-related chat. (Warning: I can talk about Mischief for much longer than most other people want to!)

Guys, can you tell me if this suitable for 7-9 yr old boys. The blurb is saying 12 + . The boys really enjoyed The Play that goes wrong so was thinking nice Xmas outing. Would be grateful for answers ASAP. Ta

As we're not really supposed to discuss that part in detail, would you like me to PM you with the potentially inappropriate bits I can remember?

Mischief have tweeted that they're going to be on Comic Relief tonight with Magic Goes Wrong. (I swear that every time they're on TV I can't watch it live because I'm at the theatre! Usually seeing a Mischief show, though tonight for a change it's Showstopper.)

I’m not too sure what to make of that tonight. Have you had chance to watch it yet Dawnstar ?

The comic relief bit was truly appalling. They simply don’t work on tv when they fail to frame it properly; hopefully they do so in the show. I appreciate it’s difficult with a short time slot, and I’d rather have seen other characters who can make me laugh by just standing there, but it was unfunny and unclever. They won’t sell many tickets from that.

I’m not too sure what to make of that tonight. Have you had chance to watch it yet Dawnstar ? I have now. Um, I kind of wish that I hadn't! It's new material, as in not something that was done in the try outs last summer, and I found Nancy's character very annoying. I can only hope it'll work better in context as I didn't think it was nearly as good as any of the acts that were in the try outs.

Does anybody know the time that their bit was broadcast? Just so we can all enjoy it?

For anyone who wants to watch the clip, it is now available on the Comic Relief section on the BBC website. Go into the clips section of Comic Relief.

I watched it back this morning after watching it live last night and was just left underwhelmed by it. Hopefully as you say some sort of context for that scene might help. Though I wouldn’t be too disappointed if MT decided to drop it from the show.

@theatremonkey Hopefully slightly more than one, or it won't have been a very successful bit of publicity! (Or do you mean one on this board?) I thought that the tricks were fairly good, it was more the OTTness of it, and especially of Nancy's character, that I wasn't keen on. However as I'm a captive audience for Mischief anyway my opinion doesn't matter in terms of ticket sales!

I sincerely hope that clip isn't representative of the show as a whole, truly dreadful, and I speak as somebody who adores everything Mischief have done to date. I felt the awkwardness eminating from the screen
