Just finished the first episode of this and really enjoyed it. Josh Groban suits the slightly goofy tone of this show and it was a lot of fun to watch.
Saying that I do think this is going to be a well written series (judging from the first episode) with some very serious moments too.
This episode introduces everything well while Divi t right in. I recommend it.
