Note to self, not to ask Zoe Wanamaker for a Full English!
A most excellent cameo.

Bit of a nod (well, a lot more than a bit) to Annie Baker's 'John' in this week's episode (series 2 ep2)?

I abandoned it after series 1 but those I know who've watched s2 said they still enjoyed it and found it compelling, but thought it was silly towards the end and are unsure about sticking with it into s3.
Viewing figures I saw suggest it's lost nearly half its audience between the ends of s1 and 2 but then I'm not sure how meaningful such figures are now, given how people watch tv series.

I'm not sure how meaningful such figures are now, given how people watch tv series. It's only just been released in the UK so I don't see how they can have figures yet, given that people probably watch online or catch-up. Chernobyl's viewing figures soared through word-of-mouth, and just going by my Facebook group a lot of people take a while to get round to seeing shows but rave about them when they do.

Loving this second series. 6 episodes in and fighting the urge to binge it all. Feel like I'm getting more out of it by working through episodically rather than taking it all in one hit. Granted some aspects are getting a little absurd but it's fiction, not real-life. There's some real moments of tension and every episode is fuel by adrenaline. Big fan.

Put me in the series 11 is a serious disappointment corner. The writers have fallen in love with their characters and want to expand this role into.... a third series. Book 2 didn't suffer in the same way, so I will read that.
V. is now the worst professional assassin ever. Series 1 was fun and you could forgive the implausible's, like she kept leaving fingerprints and DNA everywhere. But I've now lost count of the no of times she's failed to do her job and all the time she knows too much about her former employers to be allowed to survive.

Just finished Series 2. Wholly enjoyable, thrilling fun. Yes it's littered with 'implausibility' and cliche but it's fiction not a real-life drama. It's an engaging, dramatic piece of television and it's success is in not taking itself seriously. Very much looking forward to series 3!!

Finally finished, had quite a break after the first few episodes as just wasn't feeling it, it ramped back up nearer the end of the series so got bit sucked in again. Don't think it's as good as the first series but my main gripe is that allowing for the weird 'relationship' the two leads have got going I just spent a lot of time doing going 'Eve what the hell did you expect?!'. Frankly she's causing most of the problems now. Fiona Shaw is delicious and worth watching for her alone. I'll blatantly have to pick it back up if there's a series 3 though.

Oh well that's got me all hiding behind the bed clothes just when I need to relax and go to sleep.
