"KMP" ? Wtf is this.
Alright, maybe some of y'all ain't happy about Katharine being cast in this production. That's fine.
But let's not be rude or call her just "KMP" like she's the plague (why didn't you write "JM" or "BW", uh?? Is Katharine less deserving than Jessie or Betsy?)
And since she's just doing "her three months or whatever", why make such a big deal out of it?
I'm sure if it had been Sara, Jessie or Betsy, you wouldn't have had the same reaction. Pathetic.

OK let's calm down a little bit here. On this board there are many times where people are referred to as their last names, initials, it's just to not have the same names repeatwd again and again. It's not specific to just Katherine, I imagine that any of the actresses would of been referred to in the same way, we know who people are going in about. |

I thought KMP sounded fantastic, especially in What Baking Can Do. I'm really excited to see her now and I really hope she brings it with the acting too. I suppose the vocals on songs like Soft Place To Land aren't going to sound as good on a filmed recording like this than in the studio whoever is singing them, and I think the Dreamgirls fans of the board know that Marisha sounds a lot better live than on recordings. |

Oh I object, I adored that 12 minutes insight into the rehersals and think the cast come out as strong, there’s a lively chemistry between David & Katherine already!!

But overall I was quite impressed with how things seem to be going and thought Katharine sounded great. The social media for this show so far has been pretty good I think! |

Well that's hard to do since RC has made very clear KathArine (it has an -a, not an -e, btw) shouldn't have been cast in this, and not always in a respectful way, IMO. So. It’s KMP because her actual name takes too long to type and quite frankly I ain’t got time. You’ll notice the other suggestion you gave are all shorter.
And that video is a hot mess from all concerned. Not just KMP

Hell, we refer often enough to Simon Russell Beale as SRB, ain't nothing inherently disrespectful about abbreviating a performer's name, especially when typing in a hurry or when not using a keyboard.  |

Knowing my initials are DJ it is naturally quite a "roll off the tongue" kind of initial. So I don't get upset or offended by people saying DJ rather than Daniel. Some of my friends even refer to me as DD because of my middle name. But I don't get offended because if people find it easier or more fun (yeah, people find it fun to call me DJ!), then who am I to get upset about it. I get it. 😂😂 |
