It really is a beautiful collection of songs. Such a pure, clear voice.

Siobhan Dillon was asked to do a one take version of SUTBM. its linked to her work for 'Breast Cancer Haven' as she explains. There's another version on her album, One voice. From the samples on Amazon it's a beautiful album which I'd immediately buy as a CD but sadly no physical format. She was apparently in contention for the role of Jenna and was between her and Lucie Jones before the producers decided to bring a "name" over. As much as I loved Katherine McPhee in the role (definitely underestimated her) but I would of been there day 1, to see Siobhan as Jenna 😭 x

That's a great SUTBM. I think Siobhan would've been much better than Lucie and I would've loved to see her with Oliver Tompsett.

Siobhan could be likely for the UK Tour I think, if Lucie doesn’t want to return.

...if she wasn’t happily settled in L.A. I’m sure she’ll go where the work is. Never even thought of Siobhan Dillon but she’d be a fantastic Jenna!

I hate to say it, but I'm not keen on this rendition. It all feels a bit... placed. Overly planned somehow. The emotion doesn't feel genuine. She has a beautiful voice, but I'm glad they went with Lucie for the role if it was indeed a choice between the two of them.

I absolutely love Siobhan's version, great in my opinion. I admire that she has actually written a bit of personal reflection in the description for the video (relating to how the message of the song resonates to her personal life and health) and I felt a much greater insight into what may have been going through her mind whilst performing this. For me, this performance felt very 'real'.

The tour has been postponed. All scheduled dates have gone from the ATG website.
Looking at the Rescheduled and Postponed Shows page, the dates are listed as pending so hopefully it can be rescheduled and won't be cancelled altogether.

Sorry for the double post. I've noticed when logging into my ATG account that the Manchester dates for Waitress have been rescheduled to November 2021.
I was booked for Friday 4 December 2020 and the new date is Friday 12 November 2021.
So pleased it's still happening!

New tour dates are on www.waitressthemusical.co.uk. Tour starts in Bradford on 1 May 2021. It's now in Manchester for two weeks rather than one!

I've booked tickets for the tour in Glasgow for next year. It's very strange to go from seeing so much to having nothing booked. This is the next thing in the theatrical calendar and it's a year away! I'm excited to hear a casting announcement but due to the circumstances i'd imagine that's still a while off. I think this show will go down very well after the hellish 2020 though, especially in touring houses.

She’s sat down on a sofa, without a proper sound mix, stage setting - I think it’s a sensational version with all this in mind!

Has the Waitress tour been moved from June/July? Just scrolling through my calendar and it was still there?

I didn't say anything about a sound mix or staging. I simply said I wasn't keen on this rendition and gave my reasons why. It's a totally justified opinion based on an artist's performance, whether it's done in a stage setting or on a sofa. No need to come at me like that just because you disagree.

The Waitress website now says the tour starts in Wimbledon beginning of September, so any dates before that will be rescheduled again.

The Waitress website now says the tour starts in Wimbledon beginning of September, so any dates before that will be rescheduled again. It's certainly confusing. New Wimbledon Theatre has the dates there as 11- 16 October, Wales Millennium Centre is still selling tickets for 9 -14 August. both different from the official; (touring) website.

Waitress is also still on sale at Woking Mon 7 - Sat 12 June with all seats bookable though hardly any sold. Surely not going to happen then so it's disappointing that it hasn't been pulled from the ATG website.
