I fear that they will play the Edinburgh Playhouse. If a tour plays that stage on the same tour as one where they play the Ipswich Regent, one where the stage is one of the smallest in the UK, it seems a little worrying that it will get lost on the Playhouse's huge stage. Well it's lost on the adelphi atm- this show can easily slot into little and bigger theatres! |

It looks ridic at the Adelphi. All that blank space above the set. I might be tempted to see the tour if the casting was good and it wasn’t at The Palace.
I do wonder who they think the target market for this on tour would be though. It has zero recognition factor and a couple of hundred twitter obsessives isn’t going to be enough word of mouth to sell it.

Shame to see this go, as I loved it simply because my grandad loved it, and it'll forever be a great memory!
Glad it lasted longer than we all originally thought and looks as if it'll go on a nice tour. Will be sure to catch it if the casting is good!
No doubt they'll be able to chuck it back in as a filler for a couple months in a year or two.

It’s always going to be a risk but they have to start somewhere. Six is out on tour so I see no reason why Waitress shouldn’t. |

Got an email from Waitress today plugging the last chance to vote for the whatsonstage awards, with a promotional poster that pretty much includes pics of every single main cast member of Waitress and their dog (past and present) - except Katharine! 😆🙄 And no Peter either! Whether they’re just wanting to concentrate their efforts on lucie as the current leading lady or not, that just seems deliberately shady behaviour to me. Seen quite a lot of similar tweets from people asking Waitress if they forgot Kat actually opened the show and starred in it for 5 months! 😆
Peak Waitress tbh 🤷♀️🤦🏽♀️

I'd still like to see this and the tour venues don't look great for me as the nearest (Crawley) charges West End prices and the next-nearest (Woking) while a lovely venue, is far too big and difficult to reach. So I was hoping for a day seat for a matinee, but they don't do Sats at the theatre, so the only option appears to be the dreaded Todaytix Rush, which has never worked for me.
Any advice from regulars, please? Due to the running time I do need to see this at a matinee performance.

There are often good £33.50 seats available on the LW Theatres website in the front row and side stalls if you book ahead. Failing that just wait til about 10.30 on Today Tix when they start selling off the rest of the house.

Sandra’s just announced her last show will be the 4th of January, what a short run!
I wonder what she’s got planned next, would have said back to Hairspray if they hadn’t already announced Marisha.

Seemed weird that this dropped so far. Nobody at weekend shows for joe etc leaving? Yes I was at the cast change show. Some very emotional moments for Laura Baldwin during the show, and some lovely speeches at the end including some quite interesting and negative comments from Lucie Jones which referenced Laura being replaced earlier on in the year for Ashley Roberts!! Overall was a great return visit, going to try and return in the next few weeks to see the new cast members (would be interested to hear reviews from anyone else that has seen them already?) |

Sarah appears to have announced she is leaving, so I guess her last show overall will be 4th January alongside Sandra.
