Worth a look at the "from the archive" section of the BBC iplayer as they have added some interesting archive drama which can be viewed for free.
In particular, a 1956 Sunday Night Theatre, "Mrs Patterson", TV version of a 1954 Broadway play starring Eartha Kitt (who played the lead both on Broadway and in the BBC version)
